BC Bash “If you didn’t know, BC bashes are monthly planned awesomenesses that happen on the first Saturday of the month. This last BC bash was no exception (it was awesome). Planned by Trimon, Hiromasa and Seizan was an intense game of Silent Library. You may be asking what Silent Library is or you might be laughing in your head right now. Either way. Shh.. and I’ll tell you about it. Inspired by a Japanese game show, the first rule is simple. Shh, it’s a library. Don’t talk or you are out. The second part of the game is what makes it hard to be quiet. Each player (we had volunteers from the whole group come to the table) picked a card, and one of them had to do a mystery task, that was written on a card. These included activities such as eating hot peppers, sardines, and getting a wet willie, and some others that really highlighted the day for me. The one that got me out was Alan having clothespins all over his face, with his tongue moving around. It was funny, maybe you had to be there. Also Tami… Ask Tami about it. Seiji is a beast, and he won. It was both funny for all the people at the table and watching. Even though I lost like twice, it was still really fun. Then there was pizza and praying and fellowship, which is great, but I’ll always remember silent library.” - Chris Culbertson From Cleveland we had our wonderful brother Seikai Lindstrom come and give everyone a great testimony. - Yoko

Get W.I.S.E. This month, as always, was a fun and exciting month of Get WISE. There were wonderful activities thanks to Trimon Lamson and Yoko Bihary. This month the youth were able to enjoy a testimony from Ilseuk Masuda about his year of service with WAIT and a talk from David Young about Jesus and the Beatitudes.

Wednesday nights are to die for. Every week I’m super excited to go to get wise. I have tons of fun and learn lots! This month I learned about Ilseuk’s year of serivce, and jesus! I love it. :) - Minna Akutsu

Youth Ministry Fun Middle School Christmas Party

On December 11, there was a Christmas party held for all children in Middle School. We had a potluck dinner with gift exchanges. The girls were able to enjoy a fun activity of wrapping each other up in wrapping paper, the boys joined together to play video games. The night concluded with a group discussion.

Christmas Concert The annual Ohio Family Church Christmas Concert was held on December 23rd at the Lovin’ Life Chapel. The night was filled with wonderful performances and a surprise visit from Santa Clause. We don’t have any pictures to share, but the night was definitely one to be remembered.

New year’s Eve

On New Year’s Eve we had several families gather together at the Lamson’s house to celebrate the New Years. The house was filled with everyone laughing and playing games, followed by a midnight prayer.

High School Workshop December 19th—22nd I loved the workshop! I definitely The theme was “Wake Up” improved my relationship with a lot High school students from all of District 6 of my brothers and sisters! My favor- came together to travel to Chicago for the ite part of the workshop, hands Lovin’ Life Gala and Lovin’ Life Midwest down, was ballroom dancing! I think service. They also joined together in what In Jin Nim is doing is great! Columbus to continue the workshop by listening to wonderful lectures focused Not only does dancing give brothers around our identity. There weren’t as and sisters a way to interact on the many activities as usual, but everyone was siblings level, but we look freaking able to have a wonderful time together. awesome while doing it! One thing that I learned was that crying may not be such a bad thing? Just kid- ding! but really… This workshop was awesome! - Nathan Presley

I absolutely LOVED the workshop! The food was amazingly delicious and satisfying, the music was a bit too loud, but energetic, and the lectures overall was emotionally educational which was easy for us all to relate and understand! One main point I learned from this workshop is to tap into our full potential to love with a power of a 300mph punch! There truly is no time to fight each other over silly things when you never know what’s going to happen next in this complicated cycle of life. The lectures and testimonies and the educational parts overall were extraordinary and well planned!

Thank you♥ ! ~Natsumi

Middle School Workshop December 27th—30th The theme was “identity” Many wonderful blessed children from District 6 gathered together for a wonderful few days in Columbus, Ohio. There were such fantastic testimonies as well as talks about Father’s course, identity, the four great realms of heart, and others. Activities were also loads of fun and included games such as ice skating, Last Samurai, Ninja, Human Tetris, and many others.

The workshop was phenomenal because I liked how brothers and sisters were all so close with each other talking about goals and about school life. My favorite part was when the team leaders told awesome and touching lectures, also being with each other with our friends who truly understands us. I learned like how we shouldn’t like quit the church and start dating because we’re lucky to be part of the unification church. One family under God. - Koji Muraoka

I liked the workshop it was really fun. My favorite part was making new friends and becoming closer to old friends. I learned that I should reach out to God, like not to pray only before meals. I also learned that you have to be pure and don’t give your future spouse a scratched diamond. I would like to thank the staff. THANK YOU for an awesome winter workshop. - Akimi Suenaga
