Kazuki matched with Younjoo Kim by True Parents

Dateline Tuesday, February 13, 2007 – Kazuki matched with Younjoo Kim by True Parents! Incredible things are happening here. A few minutes ago I was called by Peter Kim. He said come to the lobby right away and bring Kazuki with you.

We immediately went to the lobby, there was Peter Kim and he brought Kazuki and I to meet with True Parents! There was Ho Mo Nim and the president of this Central City complex where the hotel is. Can you imagine that scene? In the lobby of the hotel, Father, Mother, Ho Mo Nim…Kazuki almost fainted. I stood behind him and pushed him forward so he could stand close to Father. Incredible thing!

By now, you have to be wondering why, right? Well, remember before the workshop we were invited to dinner with the Kims at their home near Cheong Pyeong before the workshop. Well, at that time we had a nice chat and talked about this and that. One question was asked about Kazuki’s blessing and he said he was not blessed and was not really thinking about it. We moved on from there and talked about other things. After our dinner we went to the workshop and did not think about the Kim’s again until we were leaving from Cheong Pyeong. At that time I found about 12 messages on my phone from Mrs. Kim wanting to speak with me about Kazuki. She said she knew a sister who wanted to be matched and blessed and perhaps Kazuki might be interested. After a few rounds of discussion, it was agreed that we would arrange a meeting of these two with a translator the following day, which was Monday.

However, we were so busy that we could only arrange a short meeting. The sister, Younjoo showed up with her mother and we sat together, coincidentally in the exact same seats where True Parents sat this morning, and tried to talk to each other. Our translator was delayed so we were talking through a cell phone saying things in English and then having the translator translate through the phone! It was a little odd, but anyway the sister was so nice and Kazuki was so shy, so of course I was trying to get them talking to each other…well we ran out of time and had to leave. In my mind I made a plan that I would suggest a lunch for these two for the following day and just take one step at a time. We invited her for lunch and planned that they would meet today at noon.

After that, we got back to work because we are so busy preparing for the conference. We had a meeting at the Do Won building and I asked the Korean staff if they knew her. No one seemed to know who she was. This morning we got back to work thinking that later we would have lunch and see what happens.

Kazuki and I have been working together rather well during this period and we decided this morning to review everything together. We were going through many details one by one when the phone rang…it was Peter Kim…he did not tell me anything, but said come to the lobby and bring Kazuki with you. I said I am walking out the door right now! Kazuki said, “Where are we going?” I said, “Do not worry, we are meeting Peter Kim.”

When we got to the lobby Peter Kim explained that the girl we met yesterday was actually his niece and that he did not tell us that so that Kazuki would not be influenced one way or another. He said that True Parents were visiting the Central City area and

stopped by the hotel to meet president Shin. Suddenly True Father asked Peter Kim about his niece and whether or not he found somebody for her. Peter Kim said that one Japanese brother from the USA met her yesterday and is going to meet her today for lunch. True Father said, “Show me his photo,” and Peter Kim said, “I do not have one, but he is in the hotel preparing for the conference.” Father said, “Bring him here now!” That is when we got the call!

In front of Father, Father said right away, “They are a good match, do it!” Then they asked some questions and were looking so lovingly at Kazuki and said if you want you can come to Korea, study at the Theological seminary in Cheong Pyeong, learn Korean, and we will pay for it with a scholarship! Can you imagine…we were there about 10 minutes…then we bowed and left.

Peter Kim sat us down and explained the background more about this sister. In the mean time he was making calls to a tailor in Itaewon and explained a few things about her and her family. We left and tried to work, but it was too exciting so I told Kazuki to go and prepare for lunch.

By the time Younjoo came to meet Kazuki for lunch, she had already heard about the meeting with True Parents. I suggested they have lunch in Shinsaege department store, 10th floor food area. After a brief talk they left and went together with Jinwon as a translator to eat lunch. Amazingly, many of their goals and dreams in life were similar. They decided toward the end of the meal that they would accept the match and Younjoo called Peter Kim to report about their decision. Mr. Kim asked them where they were having lunch and they said the 10th floor of the department store. His reply was, “True Parents are in the same area, why don’t you come over and report directly to Father.” They went and bowed in front of True Parents to accept their matching. Now they are preparing many things for the blessing next week.
