A 59th Memorial Service for Kyung Yoo Moon Chungbunim was held on 9/15 by the Heavenly Calendar (October 19) at 7:00 PM at the Dae Mo Nim Memorial for Righteousness, Loyalty, Righteousness and Love, attended by about 150 longtime church members, relatives, senior staff from Tongil organizations and ministers.

Born in Jeongju, North Pyeongan Province (currently in North Korea) to the family of Ji Kuk Moon and his wife Lim, married Kyung Gye Kim.

Ascended October 11, 1954 (9.15 by the lunar calendar)

Buried at Sangsa-ri, Deokeon-myun, Jeongju-gun, North Pyeongan Province in North Korea.

Received a spirit world Blessing with Kyung Gyeon Kim August 23, 1995 at Hannam dong.

Received the title ‘Chungbunim’ from True Parents on January 7, 2003, at the 35th Memorial Service for Chungmonim that was held at the Dae Mo Nim Memorial for Righteousness, Loyalty, Righteousness and Love.

Memorial Service: After being held every year on October 11, after entering the Heavenly Age, the Memorial Service will now be held on the 15th day of the 9th month by the Heavenly Calendar

The memorial service was conducted by Presbyterian Minister Rev. Bae-kwan Moon, and included an opening message, singing of the Cheon Il Guk Anthem, Family Pledge, a report prayer, bows of respect and offering of the holy cup by representatives from each group, offering of ceremonial food, reminiscences by Chairman Yong-hyun Moon, main message and prayer by Rev. KyengSeuk Lu, President of FFWPU Korea, silent prayer, three cheers of OgMansei and closing remarks.

In his memorial message, FFWPU President Rev. Lu said, “Chungbunim had an unwavering vertical connection to God, and he loved his neighbors just as he loved himself,” and said that Chungbunim had accomplished great things, creating true love that will always be remembered and creating blessings by putting his love for humankind into action.
