Dear Blessed Families,

We would like to inform you about the upcoming Blessing in 2016, which will take place in Korea, on the anniversary of Foundation Day. The Blessing is scheduled for February 20th 2016. This memo is for the attention of Second Generation matched couples.

All European Second Generation who wish to attend this Blessing are asked to register with the European Second Generation Blessing Department as soon as possible, so that we can prepare and inform you with further details of the upcoming Blessing. Please register your details online, via the Blessing 2016 Registration Form (available at http://esgdmedia.org/2015/12/16/blessing-2016/) Once registered, we will be able to communicate with you with updates and further details.

Internal Preparations We encourage all those applying for the Blessing to take time to reflect on the meaning of the Blessing and to prepare seriously for it. True Parents have established the Cheon-Il- Guk standard for receiving the Blessing. All Second Generation should prepare and be guided towards the Blessing according to this standard. • Blessing candidates must be pure. Any mistakes in the sexual area should be resolved prior to the matching and blessing. • Blessing candidates should be willing to cross cultural, national and racial boundaries. • Blessing candidates must be committed to keeping the Blessing for eternity – to love his/her spouse and build a God-centered family together. • Blessing candidates should be willing to lead a life for others as a couple after the Blessing.

Blessing interview As mentioned above, it is important that we prepare well internally for the Blessing. Please contact the Blessed Family Department (BFD) Leader, National Leader or Community Leader (depending on your national situation) to conduct the Blessing interview. If you 1

need to resolve any issues in the area of purity, please consult them and be open to be guided in your spiritual path, to set the right conditions to be able to participate in the matching and Blessing process.

Please note that the Blessing interview consists of an official confession, in addition to the interview itself (see ‘Blessing Interview Form’). The confession can either be conducted at the same time as the interview, or with a different qualified person, at a different time, if preferred.
