Restructuring and Personnel Appointments of FFWPU-USA - New Sub-Regional Directors: Demian Dunkley, Ernest Patton, David Rendel, John Jackson and Larry Krishnek

Greetings from Korea!

We have just celebrated Christmas with True Mother in Korea. But last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming True Mother in New York on December 21. During her short visit, True Mother conveyed her wish for American Blessed families to fulfill our responsibility, and transcend believing in Heavenly Parent into substantial attendance of our Heavenly Parent.

True Mother would like to see further progress towards the fulfillment of Vision 2020, therefore, she has suggested restructuring FFWPU-USA in five sub-regions, and appointed sub-regional directors for these sub-regions. Please see the attached memo from the International Office.

Each sub-region consists of a few districts. Our new Sub-Regional Directors are, Rev. Demian Dunkley for the Northeast Region, who is also appointed as vice-president, Rev. Ernest Patton for the Southeast Region, Rev. David Rendel for the Midwest Region, Rev. John Jackson for the Southwest Region, and Rev. Larry Krishnek for the Western Region. Below you can find the photos and background for each of them.

We are grateful to Heavenly Parent and True Parents for giving us this great opportunity make a strong commitment to restore America and offer a great victory in 2018 and fulfill Vision 2020 as the elder son nation.

Rev. Demian Dunkley Northeast Region

Demian Dunkley was born in the USA. He is 44 years old. Demian was educated in England and Italy and joined the Unification Church in New York in 1996. He holds a degree in Multimedia Arts and Communications, and is now completing a Master’s degree in Religious Education at UTS.

Demian received the Marriage Blessing with his wife, Yumiko Sakamoto from Kobe, Japan in 1997, and they moved to Tuscany, Italy to build a business foundation in support of the national Unification Church ministries of Italy and Malta. Demian and Yumiko have three beautiful children, ages 16, 11, and 10 years old.

In 2005, Demian’s family moved to South Korea

for a year to study Korean. In 2006, he moved back to America to work as an Instructor of Multimedia at Platt College, San Diego. During the same period he served as a youth pastor, and worked with Service for Peace on local and international projects. From 2010 to 2013, Demian served as the city pastor of Las Vegas, Nevada.

In August, 2013, he came to work at HQ as the Director of Evangelism. His ability to communicate effectively using media has been an asset in developing the work of Tribal Messiahship in the US. In 2016, International HQ recognized him as the Witnessing and Education Director for the North American region, and in 2017 that role was further expanded to include the role of Director of Heavenly Tribal Messiah Academy in USA.

Rev. Ernest Patton Southeast Region

Ernest Patton was born in Alabama in 1955 and raised in a college town in South Carolina. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a double major in English Literature and Philosophy in 1978 and joined the Unification Church in Berkeley, CA, later that summer.

He worked in fundraising and witnessing programs, became a state leader for FFWPU USA and began attending the Unification Theological Seminary, with plans to graduate in 2018. Subsequently, he worked in businesses. He was elected Pastor of the Northern Virginia Family Church (NVFC) in 2010.

In 2013 he began serving as the district pastor for District 1, and in 2015 began working exclusively as District Pastor for Maryland, D.C. and Virginia.

He is grateful to have received the Marriage Blessing on July 1, 1982 with Keiko Kohama from Naha- city, Okinawa. They have four precious children over a range of 14 years, including one offered to a beautiful family that has become an eternal extended family.

Rev. David Rendel Midwest Region

Rev. David Rendel was born in Indiana in 1950. He was educated at Indiana University where he studied Music Composition and went on to serve as a Christian missionary for four years prior to joining the Unification Church in California in 1975.

From 1975 until 1982, Rev. Rendel helped lead evangelism programs in northern California. From 1982 until 2006, he served in various management positions in Saeilo USA, a machine tool and metal manufacturing company founded by Rev. Sun Myung Moon.

In 2006, Rev. Rendel became director of the Chicago District of FFWPU-USA, and in 2010 he joined the FFWPU-USA National Ministry Team as director of operations.

Rev. Rendel received the Marriage Blessing with Agnes Chizaud from France. They have one daughter.

Rev. John Jackson Southwest Region

Rev. John Jackson was born in El Monte, California in 1962 and joined the Unification Church in Georgia in 1984. The following year, he pioneered the Unification Church in Savannah Georgia for one year. After attending a 40-day workshop in New York he joined MET, The National Mobile Fundraising team in 1985. He worked for OWP from 1986 to 1990. Rev. Jackson received the Marriage Blessing with Fusae Tobisawa in Korea in 1989. They have five children: Sean, Aaron, Maya, Sarah, and Yusuke.

Rev. Jackson has owned multiple companies: A & J International, Jackson Construction and development, and Crews Construction. In 1996 he was asked to pastor of the Little Rock, Arkansas Family Church where he and his wife served until 1999. He was appointed the Vice Regional Leader for the Texas Region in 1999 and is a founding member of the American Clergy Leadership Conference. He is proud to have attended True Parents on their historic 50 State Tour to save America.

In 2005, he graduated from the Unification Theological Seminary with a Master’s in Religious Education. Rev. Jackson went on to plant the Family Garden Church in Benton, Arkansas, and from November 2013 he has been serving as district pastor for District 9 Texas Region, where he presently serves as the senior pastor of the DFW Family Church in Dallas Texas.

Rev. Larry Krishnek Western Region

Rev. Krishnek was born in Bellingham, WA in 1948. Following his graduation from High School in Ogden Utah, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard and served as an electronics technician from 1966 to 1970.

In 1973 Rev. Krishnek was enrolled in a Horticulture program at Boise State University. It was there that he began his study of the Divine Principle. He has since served in many church leadership roles and is currently the Cheon Il Guk IW for the Western U.S.

Rev. Krishnek graduated from Unification Theological Seminary in 1993 with a Masters in Religious Education.

Larry and his wife Akemi were Blessed in marriage in 1982 and have four children and three grandchildren.

May Heavenly Parent and True Parents’ blessings and love be with all mission nations. On 11.4 by the Heavenly Calendar in the 5th year of Cheon Il Guk (December 21, 2017), True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind held a special gathering where she strongly requested that the providential eldest son nation of the United States should not limit itself to believing in Heavenly Parent but should substantially attend Heavenly Parent and become the Heavenly United States (神美國). Following the decree, True Parents also restructured FFWPU-USA into a region (continent) called Family Federation for a Heavenly United States; this region is composed of five sub-regions and True Parents appointed each sub-regional director.
