Meeting Minutes of the District 10 Council on September 5, 2013

DatelTime of Meeting: September 5, 2013 at 9:00 pm Location of Meeting: Conference call Council Members Present: David Wolfenberger, Towa Lee, Mike Faris, Richard Stumpf, David Burgess, Mike Lancey, Jai Na Fiala, Eric Sylte, Larry Krishnek. Council Members Absent: none

Agenda Item #1: Report on meeting with Michael Balcomb. Method: Rev. Krishnek gave a report on the recent meetings between a group of district pastors and Michael Balcomb to discuss future governance of our church. There will be a follow up meeting with Balcomb and all the District pastors next week to further discuss church governance.

Agenda Item #2: Seattle pastor search Method: David B. gave a report on the current applicants: Ajay Rai from England, Jack Harford from IN, David Roberts from WA, Jatoma Gavin from NJ. Possible candidates: George Kazakos and Michael Lamson. Discussion: Discussed the process of interviewing them. The council is thinking to invite the candidates to give a sermon and also to interview them in person and get a feedback from the community. The district would pay for the travel expenses. Till we have a clear plan, we would like to ask Rev. Krishnek and pastor Mira to continue on their work probably till the beginning of year 2014.

Action: Rev. Krishnek is asked to re-up the ad for pastor search on

familyfed websites. Add: No drinking policy Deadline: 10/31/13

Agenda Item #3: Oregon pastor search Discussion: Richard S. reports: Oregon is putting together a council. Will be done by the end of Sept. Then the council will decide to get a ministry team or a single pastor for Oregon. Rev. Coryell will resume as the pastor till the end of the year.
