Meeting Minutes of the District 10 Council for December 2, 2012

Date/Time of Meeting: December 2, 2012 at 12:00 pm Location of Meeting: Conference room, Ocean Peace office, Seattle, WA

Council Members Present: David Wolfenberger, Towa Lee, Mike Faris, Eric Sylte, Richard Stumpf, David Burgess, Mike Lancey, Jai Na Fiala (speaker phone), Larry Krishnek Council Members Absent: None

Agenda Item #1: Discuss roles of both District pastor and District council Method: Discussed all the responsibilities that the District pastor has. Action: Have the outreach leaders to participate the next council meeting for discussing and vocalizing their needs and how the District pastor and the council can support them.

Agenda Item #2: Appoint Finance committee Method: Discussed who has been part of the finance committee of our district. Action: ● Ask the previous finance committee to continue to serve. ● The Finance committee will prepare a report of the current financial situation of our district, church properties and assets (including Portland, Alaska, Montana, Idaho) it’s value, ownership and payments and a separate report for Windermere. ● Mike Faris and Mike Lancey to meet with Itsuko Bodzewski- the bookkeeper. ● Have a Finance committee meeting before our next council meeting. ● Once a year report to the community about the finances.

Agenda Item #3: Rev. Krishnek’s report Method: Rev. Krishnek’s gives a report on his current visit to Portland and Alaska Discussion: Whether to have Kodiak report directly to the District pastor instead of reporting through Anchorage. Action: Rev. Krishnek will send an email to HQ to ask for approval to separate Kodiak as an independent city so it could report directly to the District Pastor.

Agenda Item #4: Minutes Discussion: the content of Minutes. How much to include in the minutes. Action: The minutes will include: Agenda, discussion points and decision. Will be available to the community via website created by Mike Lancey.

Agenda Item #5: Windermere Discussion: Report on the current use of Windermere Action 1: The Mira family will be asked to move to the 2nd FL of Windermere as the spiritual leaders of Seattle. Action 2: Rev. Krishnek will meet with Rev. Mira and Mr. Granstrom and discuss the rules and expectations of the current tenants and formulate a system for the next year.

Agenda Item #6: Elect a national council person Discussion: Nominate leaders for the national council. Action: Dr. David Burgess elected as the national council person.

Agenda Item #7: Portland Discussion: Potential need of a local council Action: Rev. Krishnek will assess the current financial and congregational situation of Portland.

Announcements: Invite the outreach leaders to attend the next council meeting.
