Treasures of Heaven Workshop – Staff wanted

This is the third and final invitation to our 2013 TOH summer camp in Austria!

We have had some applications so far, but we still have some places available. Please be aware that this is absolutely not an ordinary workshop – it is a great chance to connect to other families in similar situations, to connect our TOH children with enthusiast 2nd gen volunteers, and to brainstorm how we can make our ministry (TOH ministry) better known and provide better support.

For those of you who have already applied, please confirm your participation a.s.a.p. after receiving this letter!

The purpose of the camp is to have an inspiring and uplifting gathering of TOH youngsters, their parents, siblings and friends – everyone is welcome – the more participants, the greater the joy!

We will organize a program for the youth, led by volunteers of 2nd gen, which will grant some free time for the parents – to discuss our hopes and concerns, share about our situation, make plans for the future, and enjoy some pleasant leisure. Special attention will be given to the possibility of the matching and blessing of our TOH children. So, some parts of the program we will split up in these two groups.

Every day we will also have “Quality Time” (as we had at the camp in 2011) – which means sports and fun including everyone — TOH youngsters, parents, siblings, volunteers and house staff – so that we can bond as one, big family – where everyone is welcome, loved, respected and embraced.

Please note that at least ONE PARENT has to attend the camp (you cannot send your child alone) – as our purpose is to build a support network of parents / TOH families within our Church community. Besides, our children often have special medical or psychological needs, which only the parents know and can

properly respond to. In most cases, the children will share a room with their parents – except if there is a special desire and potentiality to stay with other youngsters.

Arrival: Tuesday 6/8 before 18:00 (staff should arrive on Monday 5, early afternoon, as well as anyone who has already booked travels)

Departure: Friday 9/8 after lunch

Pick up from Vienna airport, Seebenstein train station or Wiener Neustadt train station is possible!

Workshop fee: 45 EUR pppd (day of arrival and day of departure count together as one) (one time EUR 5,- pp for bed sheets and towels NOT included)

If we can get some funding, the price will go down proportionally for each family! You may also seek to get some individual donation from friends, family or your Church community ….

Moreover, we would appreciate very much if you could send a response even if you do NOT come, preferably with a short explanation WHY (financial difficulty, other plans at that time, no interest…) – we need to know your circumstances in order to understand how we can best support the TOH families in our Church community.
