FFWPU UK: Passing Of Abigail Iversen - Seonghwa Ceremony Details
2023-01-11 · Source: tparents.org
Abigail Iversen passed on to the spirit world in the early morning hours of Friday, January 6th. She passed suddenly during the night, and the family is awaiting results of a post-mortem to understand what happened. She is loved by many who will miss her presence in this physical world, including her husband Victor, her parents, her three older siblings, her nephews, nieces, extended family, close friends, and the Irish FFWPU community, among many others that interacted with her throughout the years.
Abi was born on October 30, 1991 in Reykjavik, Iceland. Her parents were missionaries and followed their faith from Iceland to Latvia, and eventually to Ireland, where they settled in the winter of 1996. Abi lived in the Dublin church centre most of her life, caring for members and her family. She got Blessed to Victor in 2017, and over the past five years they started building a life together. They also helped organize the Make the Most of Marriage online events for Blessed couples and did their best to support the local church community.
Abi was a sincere and deep person, often overlooked by those who didn’t realize the depth of her perspective. Although quiet when first meeting her, those who spent time with her discovered a sister with a pure heart, sincerity, and openness that is hard to find in our modern world. She would listen intently to people when they shared with her, and always tried to remain unbiased, reflecting on what’s being said and not afraid to challenge their viewpoint. She also had a goofy side to her that made us laugh, and which her young nephews found particularly entertaining.
A few paragraphs cannot capture the essence of the person Abi was and how much she will be missed by her family and friends. As we prepare for the Seonghwa ceremony to honor her life and character, we are grateful for the support of our brothers and sisters throughout the EUME region and around the world.
Seonghwa Ceremony:
This Saturday, January 14th, we will have a viewing at the McEntaggart Funeral home in Dunshaughlin (Google Maps link) from 2pm to 4pm. The Seonghwa will be closed casket, so if anyone wants to say goodbye to Abi’s physical presence, this will be the opportunity to do so.
The Seonghwa is scheduled for January 21st at 11am, at: Unity House, 19 North Great Georges Street, Dublin 1
There will be a live stream available for those that can’t make it in person but want to join the ceremony. It will be followed by a lunch reception with the family. The burial will take place after the reception, but will be a more private ceremony with just the family and Abi’s closest friends.
