International Vice-President Thomas Hwang's visit to Albania and Kosovo

Professor Hwang arrived in Pristina Kosovo on the evening of the 17th of March and was welcomed by True Parents’ Special Envoy to Albania and Kosovo, Rev. Gi Young Shin, and the Albanian National Leader and Kosovo Community leader. Without taking any break for dinner or a rest he immediately went to meet brothers and sisters in the FFWPU centre. Twenty-six brothers and sisters from Kosovo and five STF second generation members on mission in Kosovo gathered and shared testimonies with Professor Hwang who shared True Mother’s heart & expectations about the Vision 2020 strategic nations. He emphasized the fact that because of True Parents’ victory, now the Heavenly Parent can exercise His authority as the original owner and creator of human beings. Now the realization of substantial CIG is only a matter of time since True Parents have paid all the indemnity and restored all the fallen history.

Early morning on the next day, Vice-President Hwang departed to Macedonia and was met by Svetlana Peneva, the National Leader, in the capital Skopje. We visited the Divine Principle lecture centre in Skopje and spent some hours with Svetlana sharing True Parents hopes and dreams about the sometimes troubled Balkan Peninsula.

In the afternoon we departed for Albania. Driving through the beautiful nature of Macedonia and passing by Lake Ohrid, the second deepest lake in Europe, we arrived in Korca city just in time to meet all the local membership. Vice-President Hwang and Rev. Shin were introduced to around 30 brothers and sisters gathered in Korca Centre and three members shared their testimonies of joining and how their lives were changed through meeting the Divine Principle. Everybody was moved to tears through the deep testimonies and Professor Hwang than talked to members emphasizing that we should rejoice and celebrate because for the first time in history, our True Parents have discovered the identity of Satan; we should be able to proudly share the Great News that True Parents have appeared on earth.

Early morning on 19th of March we departed for Elbasan city. After praying at the recently sanctified Holy Ground, we were welcomed warmly by brothers and sisters many of whom cancelled their school or job for that day to be there and meet our International Vice-President. Rev. Shin presented the CIG citizenship card to the city leader’s couple and the eldest member of Elbasan while Professor Hwang shared that God has prepared Albania for this time and we are to respond to His calling. Albania may play an important role for God’s providence in Europe and we have to understand and fulfil our responsibility.

In the afternoon we travelled on towards Tirana stopping at the Training Center in Mullet. After seeing the whole place and prayed at the prayer room, Pres. Hwang shared his vision about this becoming a birth place for many of God’s children in this country of Albania. In the Tirana Peace Embassy one hundred members gathered to welcome and listen to Vice-President Hwang’s message, including seven Ambassadors for Peace, who believe in True Parents and have thoroughly studied Divine Principle. Professor Hwang testified that he didn’t expect to find such a place in Europe with many young people following True Parents. He emphasized strongly that: “GOD is fair and gives every nation a chance. I strongly feel that now is the time for Albania and Kosovo to show what they can do for God, Europe and the World. At this time Albania & Kosovo have their God given chance and they will be tested. If you succeed in this providential test, great blessing will come to this nation. However you should understand that there is a great responsibility as well. Other nations have had their chances from God and many of them failed. God has prepared this nation at this time to take a lead in Europe and you should have the ambition to lead the world. Now Cheon Il Guk is declared and we should not worry anymore about God’s Will. Already True Parents fulfilled everything. The realization of Cheon Il Guk is just a matter of time. Please be confident and practice True Love with each other and people around you”. In Kosovo, Korca, Elbasan and Tirana, Vice-President Hwang presented the scholarship certificates to ten first and two second generation who were among those students selected to receive the scholarship from True Mother for this academic year and gave True Parents Special Award to six Blessed Families for their contribution and achievement in following True Parents and supporting the providence. We felt very blessed by having Pres. Hwang visiting Albania and Kosovo and we could feel True Parents direct love and care for us. All brothers and sisters felt embraced and encouraged to dedicate more. We offer everything to our Heavenly Parent and True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind and our strongest desire is to offer our nation to Them and make it a source of blessing for other nations!
