FFWPU UK: Hear A Testimony From The Blessing From Our Brother Kieran

Hello!! I am Kieran Hoyte from the North Thames community in London. I attended and was Blessed in this years Cosmic Blessing Ceremony in Korea and would like to share some of my feelings from this experience:

Blessing Vows:

“As a couple that is to accomplish Heavenly Parent’s ideal of creation, do you promise to become an eternal husband and wife, to inherit the tradition established by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, and to perfect an ideal family that will strive to realise Heavenly Parent’s kingdom of Cheon il Guk?”

As two people that have chosen to commit ourselves to each other, we were about to commit ourselves, as a new unified entity (one couple), to something bigger and greater than just each other. A goal and vision that we don’t yet fully understand, but with faith, hope and love (‘the greatest of these’), I know we can achieve.

When we bowed towards the audience I was humbled and reminded that we are making this promise in front of the whole Cosmos: Heavenly Parent, True Parents, all of the spiritual world and everyone attending physically and virtually.

I know the blessing is more than just a romantic occasion, like conventional weddings, but the correct descriptive words kept escaping me. It isn’t just an important occasion, it isn’t just significant or “Special”… Ah it is Holy. A Holy occasion.

I wish I made that connection a little earlier, perhaps then I could’ve connected even deeper with the whole experience.

And at the end of the event, though I was very tired from all the preparations and travel, I remember thinking “Today is a Good day. So watch it, drink it in.”

And that is exactly what we did. After visiting the botanical garden, my spouse and I bought a couple of drinks, sat down, put our feet up and rested.

It was good.
