Ocean Challenge In Kodiak With True Parents

In early September True Parents called various FFWPU leaders, mostly National Messiahs, half a dozen Continental Directors and other miscellaneous leaders, to Kodiak, Alaska, to participate in a meeting which later turned out to be a 40-day Ocean Challenge workshop.

The first to arrive was Rev. Howell followed by the rest of the Asia team consisting of the Rev. & Mrs. Byung Wooh Kim, Kyle and Shinyo Kim, Mr. Young Tae Park (Mrs. Kim’s younger brother), Andrew Lim from Singapore, Dr. Lek and Tony Aparo representing Thailand, Umberto Angelucci representing India and Ralph Jensen, Taiwan.

Having arrived ten days early the Asia team received great benefit in being able to have some intimate moments with True Parents and to attend many breakfasts and dinners at True Parents’ table. But most wonderful was to be able to camp out and salmon fish amid the splendor of Marka Bay and other scenic locations. During that time camera shutters were constantly clicking away as attendees captured prized photos of silver salmon and True Parents.

Most other attendees arrived about 10 days later whereupon the multi-purpose nature of the workshop was announced. These being:

1) unity between first and 2nd generations;

2) unity between Adam messiahs in Pantanal, Paraguay, where they too were holding a 40-day fishing challenge, and Cain and Abel messiahs in Kodiak; and

3) to inherit Father’s vision for the ocean and love of creation.

The schedule consisted of several hours a day of Hoon Dok Hae, most of it in Korean with comments and guidance by Father, lectures by Continental Directors, testimonies, boat handling and orientation both in the classroom and on the ocean, and ocean and river fishing. Later participants were given a test administered by the U.S. Coast Guard — which all the Asia team passed!

For this writer it was very inspiring to meet and get to know Father’s heir and now vice president of the FFWPU, Hyun-Jin Nim who was simultaneously holding his own training program for 2nd generation leaders. His dignified and confident posture spoke of a young man who stood on his own indemnity foundation as a true 4th Adam.

However among all of this writer’s experiences the most memorable was to look into Father’s eyes and see absolute faith and trust extended once again to us who have so many times failed to meet the heavenly standard. Father poured out his heart and belief in us attendees without reserve--a resurrecting experience indeed.

Of particular interest to this national messiah to the Philippines was to arrive at Kodiak airport expecting to observe native Alaskans only to find that those who I first thought to be Alaskans were actually Filipinos! In fact, as it turned out, Filipinos comprise about one third of Kodiak’s population and can be found everywhere: working in supermarkets, McDonald’s and as laborers in local fish factories.

Father’s Directions

I. Restore Love Of Nature (Return to Nature):

a) Love of Ocean:

man started from water

train future generations on ocean

time to raise fish

God is 1st owner, Adam 2nd, UC to restore ownership

fishing brings enlightenment/ salmon sacrifices body for descendants

boat is 2nd wife

space is not the answer (for future problems)

Father takes every opportunity to be on water

ocean is difficult and unpredictable even satan wants to stay away

there Father prays and plans for 1,000 hours

b) Love of Land:

develop animal husbandry

love all creatures

develop worldwide hobby industry

the land is our 2nd mother: light, air, water, soil sustain us here so we should love them

be familiar with all life forms

II. Understand Spiritual World:

true homeland

connect daily practice to sp. World

must know DP. before entering sp. World

any gap between yourself and True Parents creates distance in the sp. World

Father wants you to be on same level

you know everything so no excuses in sp. World

every second is important

entire sp. world is being mobilized

death is a gate

how will you die?, living for others?

everything there is based on love

we burst into sp. world like a baby being born

we must prepare our senses to live w/ God in the sp. World

Father’s life has liberated & connected ocean, land and sp. world; false love should be eliminated from these worlds

III. True Love:

we are all born for love; it is the process, motivation & conclusion/ our life should be the practice of love in every sense

this should be our way of life

true love should be more real than anything

IV. Restore Yourself:

we are the cause of God’s sorrow

even Father had to make conditions for his lineage

suffer for public life (only this remains)

love God more than wife and children

no extreme individualism

love more important than life

become king of love, don’t be sidetracked

win over hell or there is no heaven

challenge boundaries & concepts

choose more difficult way

formula course should have 1-1/2 yrs ocean activity

think of the millions of years God has been waiting for a filial son

V. Establish True Family:

ideal person must have family; true family is our primary concern

family judgment to happen

no compromising absolute family

false marriage led to all problems

families in the fallen world are now dead trees

God lost His lineage

we must connect to parents who are the center of life, love and lineage

based on Jardim worldwide family era has begun

where is America going by denying family?

family is your mission

learn to love opposite sex

family to give everything to God; go down to zero point to be able to receive blessing

practice 4 realms of heart

set Blessed Couples tradition

don’t drop out

don’t expect sympathy

your family must pass over ocean, land & sp. World

wake up & become tribal messiahs

my family is in plus position yours in minus

VI. World Restoration:

a) Super Economy:

Father needs worldwide economic foundation

super economy (beyond any sovereignty) based on blessed couple’s assets

in this way Father will go over heads of world leaders

unite undeveloped nations, collect money, create IMF type bank

b) Restructure UN:

presently has no direction

Abel UN. centered on Fam. Fed. & related organizations

UN. should be in position to exert Heavenly Will over nations

who made these nation? Satan

Father should become permanent Secretary General

c) Father should have ocean, land and spiritual power.

VII. National Messiahship:

financially responsible for nation

become one with Adam messiah

establish 3 conditions based on number 16: 160 fish, $16,000 donation, 160 restored families

NMs are the ones protecting TP

through NMs and BCs TP connect to mankind

restore your nation

by utilizing nat’l messiahs Father wants to establish hobby industry

NMs to be humble before 2nd generation
