In 1984, the Universal Ballet was established as the first private ballet company of Korea.
When they were first established, male dancers were so rare that they had employees from the print shop dancing on stage. But after 30 years of growth, they have come to flourish as an international as well as a Korean company.
They were able to connect to audiences through a consistent standard of quality performances. Ever since the year after their establishment, they have continually promoted ballet overseas through over 1,800 performances in 17 countries abroad.

The Universal Ballet was established as the first private ballet company in Korea and has grown and flourished throughout the past 30 years. Now, they are hosting this gala as a way to thank the audience members, who have supported them. The dancers mingled freely with the audience members in an unreserved performance, a warm contrast to the stiff, serious image that often accompanies ballet.
