Announcement of the Passing of Eric Holt (20/04/1952 – 22/05/2013)

He had been suffering silently and stoically from cancer which spread rapidly in the last few days.

Until his passing he was Lecturer in Financial Management, Unification Theological Seminary, B.A., University of the State of New York, M.Div., Unification Theological Seminary, M.B.A., Heriot Watt University, UK

Mr. Holt’s approach to financial management for non-profit organizations involves presenting students with a broad panorama of the entire spectrum of financial management and accounting fundamentals, extensive use of the internet for research, and the acquisition of practical analytical techniques and skills.

Mr. Holt has served as a Unification Church pastor in the UK, Louisville, Providence and Tarrytown, and has been an active missionary and preacher in the UK and throughout the US. Since 2001, he has served as the Church’s CFO and most recently as its Treasurer. Mr. Holt has extensive accounting and management experience in both the business and non-profit sectors, and has designed from the ground up complex accounting and IT solutions. Mr. Holt’s experience included investment and equities trading, asset management, and financial management of large business organizations. Mr. Holt has authored several guidebooks for use in internal management of non-profits. Until his passing, he served as a director on the boards of several business corporations and nonprofit organizations.
