Belvedere Family Church: Welcoming Home Your Blessed Ancestors This Week!

This notice is to remind you about welcoming home your Blessed Ancestors, if you had the privilege to Bless any ancestors on October 6, 2019. Your ancestors are about to conclude their 40 day Blessing Workshop. As one who was very fortunate to serve you before and during the recent visit by HJ CheonBo at Belvedere, I am writing to offer some timely reminders.

Our ancestors are in their last week of their 40-day Blessing workshop. They will make their homecoming to our homes on the 41st day since their Blessing, which is this coming Friday, Nov. 15th, 2019. Let’s be prepared to welcome them in a most joyful and uplifted way. Whether you are welcoming home your first 7 generations or all the way to 430 generations, please invest all your heart. If you were one of the 200 families or church communities to inherit a HyoJeong Won (House of Absolute Good Spirits), this is an ideal time to ‘inaugurate’ this little piece of Heaven officially in your home or church.

[If you liberated Ancestors on Oct 6 or others collaterally, they will wrap up their 100-day cleansing and liberation workshop on Jan 13, 2020 and be eligible for the Blessing from January 14, 2020 onward (their 101st day since liberation). If that applies to you, I have a note for you below.*]

Keep in mind, that while we were Blessing ancestors in Belvedere, on Oct 6, that HJ CheonBo Korea and its branches were simultaneously holding Blessings in 5 other locations around the globe! Myriads of ancestors were Blessed in the twinkling of an eye, that same day!

So this Nov 15 is truly a precious day that Heaven has longed for, True Parents have longed for and we and our ancestors have longed for. It is the day upon which they can join us and our families. They are immensely grateful for our efforts and conditions of devotion on all levels which made their redemption and full cleansing possible. We also want to celebrate the victory they achieved while in workshops of liberation and Blessing to self-examine their lives and repent fully, becoming absolutely good spirits.

I urge you to hold a Welcome Home Party this Friday, Nov 15 to honor their accomplishment and the beginning of their Blessed Family Life with you. They are your ancestors chronologically and genealogically, but spiritually, you have become their ancestor, their root, by way of your having received in the flesh the Blessing of our True Parents. Through you they received the grace of Ancestor Liberation and Blessing only afforded by True Parents. They now will populate your vertical Heavenly Tribe and want very much to assist, help and protect you - your families and your tribes, so that you overflow with the true love of God.

My family and I will be doing so, and have done so, ever since we began this recurring process. It’s an opportunity to fashion a welcome home banner, open your front door, as if they just knocked, invite them into your living room with applause and cheer, where you’ve prepared an offering table (ideas: grilled salmon, bbq, favorite ethnic foods, tacos, pasta; fruits, a victory cake or cupcakes). After greeting HP and

TP together and a brief ceremony, instruct them to feast and while they feast, introduce yourselves: share briefly your precious testimony of how you found Heavenly Parents and True Parents, or how you were Blessed; family members can take turns performing their various talents (sing, dance, tell jokes, play an instrument) and share with them your deep concerns. Tell them freely the areas where you most need their help, expertise and guidance. From this time forward, they will reside with you, do hoon dok hwe with you, pray with you, laugh and cry with you and listen to you intently. They want to do all they can to support us and see our tribe thrive. It is only natural that we would welcome their holy and uplifting presence into our homes and hearts.

Below I have copied and pasted suggestions from the HJ CheonBo website about the Welcoming Home ceremony: 1. The ancestors come to their descendants’ home on the 41st day. 2. The descendants prepare a welcome home celebration. 3. The ancestors and the descendants live together centered on God. The ancestors help and protect the descendants, but the descendants’ duty is to report their problems to the ancestors.

The attached slide (in case you don’t want to open it) presents the following suggestions. It also shows some pics of offering tables. Please make this your own celebration, you should feel free to modify it and customize it. Take photos, too, to remember it by. Also, there is no certain time in the day when it must be done. Traditionally in my home, we’ve held it in the evening and made a splendid dinner celebration out of it, but you can hold it any time of the day, even at the stroke of midnight!

Closing declaration/og mansei (welcome them to make their home with your earthly tribe eternally and in the HyoJeong Won, if applicable. They will make their entrance in order of their generations.)

To clarify, the Full Bow, you are not bowing to them (you are leading your tribe - including them- in bowing to HP and TP and likewise, you are making the Family Pledge together.) It’s also fine for you and your spouse to bow to each other, and if your children are in attendance, for them to bow to your couple seated, before Pledging together. Your HDH reading doesn’t have to be extensive, but meaningful and can be read in parts by each family member present. It’s in the “Welcoming Words” areas where you can do a lot of what I talked about above. After concluding, my family moves to the dining room where we continue to celebrate by eating together and enjoying the victory cake.

* In case you’d like to continue the process of liberating or Blessing Ancestors via long-distance to Korea, you will need to use their official Registration Form for Liberation and Blessing which is valid through Feb 2020. I am attaching that form, which when sent to Korea with your donation and workshop fees (per every 7 generational group) waives the requirement to physically be present.
