Hello, family,

As one who was very fortunate to serve you at IPEC during the recent visit by Chung Pyung in the registration and forms processing room, I am writing to offer some timely reminders.

If you had the honor of Blessing any ancestors on October 28, your ancestors are about to conclude their 40 day Blessing Workshop. Their 40th day is this Thursday, Dec 6, and is the day upon which they can come to live with you and your family and household and should be welcomed home. [If you liberated Ancestors on Oct 28, they will wrap up their 100 day workshop on Feb 4, 2019 and be eligible for the Blessing from Feb 5, 2019 onward (their 101st day since liberation.]

I urge you all to hold a Special Welcoming Ceremony this Thursday to honor their accomplishment and the beginning of their Blessed Family Life with you. They are your ancestors chronologically and genealogically, but spiritually, you have become their ancestor, their root, by way of your having received (in the flesh) the Blessing of our True Parents and the grace of Ancestor Liberation and Blessing afforded by True Parents. They now populate your vertical Heavenly Tribe and want very much to assist, help and protect you - your families and your tribes, so that you overflow with the true love of God.

I and my family will be doing so, and have done so, ever since we began this recurring process. It’s an opportunity to fashion a welcome banner, open your front door, as if they just knocked, invite them into your living room with applause and cheer, where you’ve make an offering table (ideas:grilled salmon, bbq, favorite ethnic foods, pasta; fruits, cake or cupcakes) (and while they feast) introduce yourselves, share brief testimonies, perform your various talents (sing, dance, tell jokes, play an instrument) and share with them your deep concerns - areas where you really need their help and guidance.

They want to do all they can to support us. It is only natural that we would welcome their holy and uplifting presence into our homes and hearts.

Below I have copied and pasted suggestions from Chung Pyung’s website about the Welcoming Home ceremony:

1. The ancestors come to their descendants’ home on the 40th day.

2. The descendants prepare a welcome home celebration.

3. The ancestors and the descendants live together centered on God. The ancestors help and protect the descendants, but the descendants’ duty is to report their problems to the ancestors.

There is attaching a slide with the following suggestions.

To clarify, the Full Bow, you are not bowing to them (you are leading your tribe in bowing to HP and TP and likewise, you are making the Family Pledge together.)

I’ve heard some folks do extra kyungbaes, ie spouses to each other, children to parents.

It’s in the “Welcoming Words” areas where you can do a lot of what I talked about personally.

WHAT IS ANCESTOR LIBERATION/BLESSING AND WHY DO WE NEED TO LIBERATE/BLESS OUR ANCESTORS?

PURIFYING THE LINEAGE

 After the fall of Adam and Eve, all human beings came to belong to Satan’s lineage.  Ancestor liberation is the ceremony through which we can completely change the lineage of all human beings back into God’s lineage, as completely ideal sons and daughters between heaven and earth, in the name of the True Parents. SAVING OUR ANCESTORS FROM HELL  Because the spirits world’s air is made out of love, if you do not prepare your spirit body and go to heaven then you cannot breath. We can breathe air on earth but in the spirit world it is a world of love. That is why you should prepare your spirit body to feel love. If you do not do this then no relationships can be established in the spirit world. This is the problem. It will be bigger. It will take millions of years. (Cheon Seong Gyeong Page.761)  Most of your ancestors have actually gone to hell. You must liberate all of them. This is the path of the parents therefore, you must also follow the path of parents. You have the destiny to go to the end. (Cheon Seong Gyeong P.739)

EXPANDING THE SPHERE OF GOODNESS IN SW  So as we are celebrating the 1000 day memorial of True Father, I really hope that all of you will be able to liberate your ancestors in the spirit world. True Father has mentioned that you need to liberate 210 generations. So what is the meaning of Father’s words? We need to liberate up to 420 generations of our ancestors. The spirit world has, until this point, followed the fall. It has taken 6000 biblical years to get to this moment. What a long period of time. The spirit world is filled with fallen history. The fallen people do not know God’s Providence, but thanks to the True Parents we have received the Marriage Blessing and as Blessed Families, are you aware of the providence or are you ignorant of the providence? If you are aware of it, my hope then is that all of you can liberate all your ancestors and lead them to the Marriage Blessing and I hope you can accomplish this mission of making your ancestors absolute good spirits. This is the responsibility that you have been blessed with as Blessed Families. Do you understand? That is why we need to expand the good spiritual heavenly sphere, and we do this by increasing the people who are on the side of God, the people who are living centered on True Parents. This is our blessing, our responsibility. Depending on whether we accomplish this responsibility or not, True Father can expand his influence all over the world and be more active around the world.

TRUE PARENTS’ WORDS  Since all kinds of people are gathered together in the spirit world, including those who killed and those who were killed, sometimes such things as knife fights and vendettas break out there. This is why there are so many divisions and barriers blocking the way to the ideal. Evil spirits sometimes go to their enemies’ descendants on earth and cause them to have fatal accidents. All such resentment must be resolved. In order for this to happen, they must first be resolved on earth. To do so, you need to provide a better option. Unless you give such spirits a better way than that which brought about the enmity- something nobler than killing in retaliation-they cannot be appeased. (June 24, 1989, Cheon Seong Gyeong P719)
