Invitation from Subregion 2 BFM to join Sharing the Journey Group for Parents

Below is a letter from Libby Jo Henkin, who initiated a group for parents in Subregion 2. The group is now expanding to reach other parents around the nation.

Dear Blessed Parents,

We are reaching out about a special initiative called “Sharing the Journey”, for parents of unmarried older Blessed Children, who are not interested in being part of the Unification movement, but still are willing to consider recommendations from their parents for the Blessing.

Libby Jo Henkin of the New Hope Family Church in Maryland, and Natascha Phillips, 2nd gen and the BFM Coordinator of Subregion 2, have partnered to take the lead in creating a group for parents of unmarried young adults, aged 27+, who meet together virtually on Zoom and on a private Facebook group, to discuss the matching with other parents who have children in a similar situation. The goal is for parents to support their children in finding their eternal partners among the second generation and open up a path for them to receive the Blessing, if they are willing.

“Sharing the Journey” started as a pilot project in early June in Subregion 2 and we are now expanding to other subregions. We have already established ground rules for how we communicate and ask that these be respected. Joining this group will be by registration only, and everything discussed will be in strict confidence within the group. Please contact Libby Jo (libbyjo50@ aol,com) if you wish to consider participating in “Sharing the Journey”. The BFM Coordinator of Subregion 2 will inform interested parents of available resources that may be beneficial to each person’s specific circumstances.

All parents who participate in this group do so with the full knowledge and support of their children.

All parents pledge to keep everything in this group confidential.
