IRFF UK – Changing Lives Across Africa
IRFF UK is a UK-registered charity dedicated to transforming lives
through international development. We currently support seven
vital projects across three African countries - Senegal, South
Africa, and Uganda - reaching over 4,100 people whose lives and
futures have been uplifted by your support.
Run by a small, passionate UK team of nine (a mix of volunteers
and modestly paid staff), IRFF UK is powered by love, commitment,
and purpose. Thanks to the income from the Tricycle shop,
our charity shop in Alton and Gift Aid, we’re proud to say
that 100% of all new donations go directly to our projects - every
penny you give goes where it’s needed most.
What We Do - and Why
We believe that everyone
deserves the chance to live with
dignity, opportunity, and hope.
Through partnerships with
trusted local teams, IRFF UK
supports education, healthcare,
and humanitarian initiatives that
make a lasting difference.
Our projects currently include:
• Education: Supporting schools from primary to tertiary
levels, helping hundreds of young people access quality
• Menstrual Health: Reaching over 1,500 schoolgirls with
single-use and reusable pads, and menstrual health
• Nutrition: Running a soup kitchen in South Africa that
feeds 500 children and elderly people daily.
Our recently completed projects have provided:
• Care for 60 orphans in DR Congo,
• Vocational training for young
women in Ghana,
• Reusable sanitary pads for 700
girls in Ghana,
• And emergency relief in Nepal,
the Philippines, Jordan, and DR
We do this because we can - and because we must. As our
founder’s principle reminds us, “You can live for yourself, or you
can live for others.” At IRFF UK, we choose to live for others.
Our Proudest Achievements
Over the years, IRFF UK has celebrated many milestones:
• Destiny School in
Uganda - founded in 2009
and now home to 206
students and 11 staff, with
secure facilities and a
bright future ahead. • New kitchens and
water wells in schools
across Uganda, including
Busabala School, visited
by our GirlChild period
poverty team.
• Disaster relief in crisis
zones like Nepal and DR
• TVET and literacy
projects empowering
young people in Gambia,
Ghana, and South Africa. • Launching period
poverty projects in
three African nations - an
initiative that continues
to grow as funding

Looking Ahead: 2025-2026
The year ahead is full of promise. With increased funding and new
volunteers, IRFF UK plans to:
• Expand our period poverty
• Launch another child hunger
relief project in South Africa,
• Fund more water wells in
rural communities,
• And help Destiny School grow
to 400 pupils - complete with a
new IT suite for teachers and
