Dear brothers and sisters
We are happy to announce the start of the registration of our Summer Activities
2014. Don’t wait too long; early applications help both your personal preparation and
the workshop planning.
Registration for each of the workshops needs to be done online. Please find all the
information at http://www.esgd.org/757.html.
The motto for the Summer activities this year is:
Let us be the ONE: To Practice/To Realise/To Carry On
With this motto we want to directly connect and refer to the Motto for this year onwards
until 2020: “Let us become true owners of Cheon Il Guk who practice true love in
resemblance to our Creator, the Heavenly Parent!”
Let us be who True Parents are urging us to be! We want to reinterpret this motto and
make it meaningful for each of us – to personally connect to the vision. It also mixes the
individual and the collective – “Let US be the ONE” – so we want to explore the motto on
a personal level, as well as finding a way together as Blessed Family members.
Here are some questions we want to explore together through the motto -‐ To Practice:
How do we actually practice True Love? How do we apply Principle and have an
authentic spiritual life? To Realise: How can we wake up and realise what spiritual path
to take? How can we realise and build towards the ideal? To Carry On: How can we
persevere through challenges? How can we be someone who God, our Friends and our
Family can trust and rely on? How can we create a culture and tradition which can carry
on what True Parents and our Parents have passed on to us through our Lineage?
We wanted a motto which unites universal themes together with the current
providence; giving a framework, but leaving an open space for questions to be asked and
answers to be created. To connect to True Mother’s recent words, as well as reflect on
the current climate and situation amongst us as brothers and sisters. We hope that each
workshop can create a unique interpretation of the motto, and look forward to sharing
that inspiration!
“The Second Generation are the precious existences who are the first outcome of Heaven in
the 6,000 years of providential history…be able to embrace people around you by creating
a suitable environment, and become a model family to the young people in the society”
recent guidance from True Mother.
ESGD Summer 2014
Get involved and participate this Summer: We would like to welcome you to
participate in and co-‐create our Summer Activities together with us. On each workshop
this year, we want to create an environment where True Love can be learnt through
experience, where True Friendships can be created and built upon, and where we can
experience how interconnected we are as Blessed Families; discovering how our
Heavenly Parent and True Parents deeply matter to each of us. Please read the
Workshop descriptions, and the report booklet from last year to get a sense for the
activities and consider what fits for you -‐ and feel free to be in touch with any questions
you may have.
We are looking forward to see you in the Summer 2014. Feel free to contact us at
summer2014@esgd.org if you have any questions or concerns.
