International Parents Matching Convocations David Hanna April 18, 2013
Dear Blessed Families, As was previously announced, there will be a European Parents Matching Convocation May 31st to June 2nd 2013 in Grävenwiesbach (for details and registration, please go to www.bfdeu.org). There will also be a Parents Matching Convocation in the USA on the same weekend. These provide opportunities for you to display profiles of Second Generation matching candidates, both here in Europe and in the USA, even if you are not able to attend the Matching Convocation in person. Please consider whether you would like to display your child’s profile, or your own profile, at either of these convocations, or at both. If would like to do so, please inform Sean Greaves by email. Please note, we will only display profiles of candidates who have explicitly expressed their wish to have them displayed. Your profile will not be displayed by us unless you specifically inform us that you would like us to do so.
To ensure that your profile is displayed you have several options: 1. If your candidate is already registered on the International Matching website www.bcmatching.org, make sure the profile is updated and inform us of your desire to display his/her profile. We can then print your profile from the website and display it, and it can also be printed and displayed in the USA. (If you are not registered, you can use this opportunity to register your candidate on the website. This not only allows you to use the website, but also means that you only have to update your profile and it can be displayed at any future convocation, in Europe or elsewhere, just by letting us know.) 2. If you submitted a Blessing Application, we can also send copies of your Blessing Application (Pictures, Application form and Family Introduction form) to the Blessed Family Department of the region where you wish to display the profile. 3. If neither of the above applies, you can still hand in your own materials: pictures, letters, information, etc., and we will scan and send them to the Blessed Family Department of the region requested. Contact information and basic data (name, date of birth, etc.) should be included.
It is always possible to display any additional material you wish to include in your profile for display at the convocations, please send that to us. Furthermore, it is particularly helpful if the candidate can fill out the attached questionnaire and send it to us.
Please send all information to us at least one week before the date of the event (deadline: 25th May 2013), so that we have to time to collate and prepare copies, and to forward it, if required.
Please feel free to contact us about any questions or issues related to the Parents Matching Convocations. We wish you God’s guidance and blessing in the matching process and hope that these opportunities will help you reach out to other Blessed Families.
Yours sincerely,
David Hanna Geros Kunkel Director, BFED European Second Generation Blessing Affairs
