Spring has just arrived, but the increased sunshine has the effect of making us look forward to the Summer – and as with each year, we have a developing crop of summer activities organised by the ESGD and open for our UK youth to participate in and support in many ways. The summer activities are incredibly valuable educational opportunities for growth – for many they provide precious experiences and memories which make a real and lasting impact in their lives. For many, the workshops; the particular moments, places and people are some of the best times in life. In line with a maturing majority, there has been more investment in activities for those in the 18+ age group, so that that there are activities which target different age groups within HARP and CARP and also between then. The registrations will all be online on the ESGD website from the 24th April, but before then please research (have a look at the Summer Activities 2010 booklet – it really gives a great overall picture), consider what you would like to apply for, be in touch, talk with your parents/or children, also be in touch with us if you have any questions or concerns. The summer activities are well attend by UK youth, as participants and staff – and we hope 2011 can build on that tradition, especially for those who have yet to experience a European workshop, it would be well worth considering it. We hope to be in touch with more news and information, but we advise applying as early as possible for all the activities. The motto is always an important anchor for the goals of the activities, please read the basic information that has been copied below, and also please visit the website to see information on each individual activity: ESGD Summer 2011 Activities
Now you can start planning your summer – European activities are finalized! We proudly present them under our motto:
The world is going through many changes and challenges these days. True Parents are guiding us so that our life is connected to eternal values and so that we live to our fullest potential. This can only be done if we have a real connection to God and based on that we live a harmonious life.
“Where there is harmony in the family everything can be done. Where there is unity and harmony there is the love of God, so the ideal will be realised there.” True Father
My home is the place which we will build together; where we can be free to be our true selves, where our roots are, where our parents are and where God can dwell.
It is also the place we can always go back to, the place we find the tools to grow, and where we experience love and develop our hearts. We can create a better world, starting from our homes and families.
“Since God’s heart is found in the things you see, if you want to be in His heart you should have the heart to embrace all things and all that exists in heaven and on earth as yours.” True Father
God loves us and wants to live with each one of us. One way to connect to His heart is to also care for each other, care for things around us, while keeping the standards and dignity of God’s sons and daughters. Overview of our Summer Activities 2011
