WFWP Europe: Message on Russia's invasion of the Ukraine

The Women’s Federation for World Peace expresses our deepest concern for the people of Ukraine; the internally displaced families, victims of aggression and trauma, citizens desperately defending their freedoms and God-given rights.
The leaders and members of our WFWP chapters, including Ukraine and Russia, have been meeting virtually to listen and to pray, already in peace and reconciliation with each other.

The reprehensible decisions of leaders need not break us apart. A strong and united stand from civil society, especially wise and loving women can, and will continue to influence historic turns.
We cannot forget the pain of so many good people of both sides, who are victims as husbands, sons and daughters are called into hostilities against a brother or sister in a neighboring country, with whom they have so much in common. Let us pray together for a quick cessation of hostilities and heightened awareness of our common humanity.
