WFWP International: Girls Speak Out Be Bold - From Equality to Equity for Girls

WFWP International is involved with the Working Group on Girls (WGG) #11DaysofAction campaign, which leads up to their Girls Speak Out event, held on 11th October, the UN international Day of the Girl.

Every year, WGG holds this event on 11th October with a theme. This year’s theme is “Be Bold - From Equality to Equity for Girls.” To raise awareness, they also run the #11DaysofAction social media campaign, which runs from October 1 - 11. Each day has a different sub-theme, and is sponsored by a different organization or group or organizations. This year is WFWPI’s second year being a sponsor of one of the days, and we chose Day 6 (October 6) which is on “Education.”

As a sponsor, WFWPI has a webpage on their website, which will be featured here. On that webpage will be language about WFWPI’s approach to education, as well as a call to action, to join the twitter chat on the topic.

The twitter chat will be from 11am to 12pm EST on October 6, 2020, and will be held at the @ IDG_Summit twitter channel. Over the course of that hour, they will be posting a series of questions WFWPI drafted, for their audience to engage with live.
