Dear Participant,

Since 2001, Women’s Federation for World Peace- Europe has been holding annual women’s leadership conferences in prominent venues throughout Europe. These important events have given women leaders and young developing leaders with diverse expertise and common concerns the opportunity to share knowledge and resources, strengthen solidarity and create plans for the future. Last year, the events were held in Brussels, which included an important session in the European Parliament to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the International Year of the Family. This year’s conference will be held November 13-15, 2015 in Prague, Czech Republic. We would be delighted if you could join us.

The work of WFWPI in Europe is part of a global effort to promote women’s distinctive experience, perspective, skills, and competence in development, peace building, education, and very importantly, prevention and healing. Our vision for the future sees a transformation of the leadership paradigm in which feminine and maternal qualities of leadership become more predominant, and the so-called “positive masculinity” in men can be strengthened to provide the complementary component, a partnership that is best learned through the parental model in the family.

Most women realize it is not enough to just demand access to authority as our overall “Human Right”. Bringing the skills of day-to-day engagement as mothers, wives, sisters and daughters, that is rooted in sacrificial love, can give a unique insight and motivation to governance and leadership at all levels. What can and will women do differently and how will that improve chances for the attainment of human dignity and the promotion of the highest standards of living? How can this feminine leadership portfolio be defined and developed into a plan with advocacy and educational tools specific for our needs in Europe? We want to take this opportunity to consider these opportunities together and expand our “Call to Action” to communities.

There are many women of all ages who just need a little encouragement, training or tools to take on positions of greater influence. At the conference there will be a series of mini-workshops in areas related to leadership skills, capacity- building in family advocacy, networking and other practical resources.

The program will include:

 Friday 9:00-11:00 at the Hotel : WFWP- Europe and WFWP- Young Women will hold a mini training / workshop for youth to initiate a European Union Young Women’s Leadership project.  Friday, 13:00 -17:00 at the Czech Senate/Parliament Building: A Panel Discussion will be held under the title: “Defining and Strengthening Women’s Leadership in the 21st Century: Education, Advocacy, Networking”.

 Saturday 9:00- Sunday 12 noon: General Conference at the Hotel with sessions on:

1. Shaping a new educational landscape; women’s leadership and responsibility 2. Inter-generational partnerships and feminine leadership 3. Breaking through the “glass ceiling” in society (attitudinal bias) and changing the leadership paradigm – for both men and women 4. Capacity Building / Skills Training  Educate Young Women for Leadership: Project development and funding  Use of social media for education, training and networking  Develop resources and convincing advocacy materials  Learn effective advocacy skills for issues and political participation

5. Steps to personal success as peacemakers and influencers – Mentoring

 Saturday evening  Bridge of Peace (Reconciliation ) Event  Cultural Entertainment

In case you want to enjoy the swimming pool and fitness in the hotel, bring your swimmsuit with you ! 

Conference fee: 140 €

Conference fee includes:

- full participation in conference program including conference in Senate on Friday 13th Nov afternoon (1-5 p.m.) - accommodation 13th-15th Nov including breakfast - full meals starting with dinner on Friday 13th Nov, finishing with lunch on Sunday 15th - coffee breaks during the conference – coffee/tea/water+ small refreshment

For those arriving before or leaving after there is +20 € /person/night including breakfast.

You may desire to spend couple of extra days in Prague to enjoy it . You can still have price benefit in the hotel being registered through WFWP but we need to know it as soon as possible since the capacity of hotel is full.

During the week – Monday to Friday you can have lunch for 4-5 € in the hotel. Any day you can have dinner for 7 €.

An option of 10 twin bedded rooms (12th -13th Nov) and 60 twin bedded rooms (13th -15th Nov) have been reserved with a conference hall until the 15th of October.

Please register until this date, if possible, in order that an approximate number may be had.

The final deadline registration will be on the 6th of November.

To be able to confirm the rooms we need a 90% deposit. Please in the same time when you register for conference, transfer full amount of 140 € (in case of some extra nights + 20 €/per night) to our European WFWP bank-account.
