Let's take Vision 2020 very seriously

Dear Brothers and Sisters, I hope that you are well. Rev. An suggested that I could write to you directly about one very important point that came up in our NL workshop, titled “Vision 2020 Strategy Conference for Providential and Strategic Nations” that was held in Korea following True Father’s Seonghwa Commemoration. Most of you have witnessed this beautiful Tribute to True Fathers life through the internet, so lovingly prepared by True Mother and members. I think we all felt Mother’s gratitude for the global outpouring of devotion and support, and, as well, we all felt her incredible seriousness at this time. As we are all around the world sincerely trying to discover how we can bring success in our Vision 2020 goals, True Mother, more than anyone else, knows how important that is to our Heavenly Parent, True Father and humanity. Rev. An is very aware through leaders’ reports and his country visits that so many in our European Movement are trying to bring witnessing results with creative and serious intentions. Yet, we realised while in Korea that True Mother needs more encouragement from us, because her expectation from Europe is maybe higher than we know. I personally like to think that maybe she got that intuition while she was praying in the Swiss Alps. Her burden to fulfil her pledge to True Father, combined with other unresolved situations, is surely much for her to bear. I would like to humbly ask you, on behalf of Rev. An, who is taking this Call to Action in Europe from True Mother very seriously, to think, together with leaders and other Blessed Families about how we can better demonstrate our resolve and sincerity. We all heard in True Father’s last prayer on earth, about how the Tribal Messiah missions are God’s great hope. But, from TM’s viewpoint, as any mother would be, she is not only concerned about the numbers or the quantity of events that we make, or even the size. She needs to be reassured that we are all serious and trying our best to carry our share of responsibility. She wants to know specifically in what ways we are daily working to win hearts and minds around us, even quietly, because of our love and loyalty to Heavenly Parent and True Parents.

I. Communication out of Filial Piety: There are many good efforts left unreported. Perhaps we have not given you an appropriate way to report about your outreach. In some ways, it goes against our European identity and a basic spiritual humility to promote ourselves, but that could change if we realise that our Parents could be further empowered and less burdened by having that information. Let us try to communicate better and offer up our sincere efforts so that TM can be assured that we are walking with her during these next 5 1/2 years.

II. Assessing and Coordinating our Europe-wide Strategy We will be discussing our European Tribal Messiah “best practices” and grassroots strategies at our upcoming leaders meeting (September 26-28) and we would like to hear from you about what you have been doing, how you’ve been doing it. We can surely learn from other regions who have made recent breakthroughs, but we know that Heavenly Parent has also been giving good ideas, appropriate for our situation in Europe, to many of us. These can be multiplied and built upon to discover our personalised “breakthrough” for success in Europe You will find a form attached that I hope you can fill out and send back to your national leader before he/she leaves for the meeting or you can do it online under online response.
