WFWP Vienna, Austria's Conference on The Role of Youth and Civil Society to Usher in a Peaceful Society

WFWP Austria Vienna UN Office hosted the UN Vision Conference on The Role of Youth and Civil Society to usher in a Peaceful Society on UN Day 2024.

My experience “backstage” running the technical aspects of the WFWP Austria - Österreichische Frauenföderation meeting.

I really appreciate the incredible support that the United Nations in Vienna now offers for NGOs.

Recognizing that governments and the United Nations can only succeed when there is fluid communication and cooperation on all levels, especially with civil society, ordinary people.

We have the honour and privilege here in Vienna to attend high level meetings, of course, on the foundation of all the grassroots work done by our Japanese missionaries, but also simply because we are here and so is the United Nations.

We can invite “ordinary people” to attend our UN NGO meetings. It was a special honour today to welcome a member of the City of Vienna, while also welcoming our counterpart, Merly Barlaan from our New York office. Learning from one another, sharing best practices and getting inspired to do more.
