We established the Albanians' Peace Council in Austria, at the HQs in Vienna

We established the Albanians’ Peace Council in Austria, at the HQs in Vienna. Over 70 people filled the hall, including prominent and well-established Albanians from all over Austria, Ambassadors for Peace and youth.

The event was moderated by Marinela Stefanc, the Secretary-General of UPF Austria and of Albanian origin. The welcoming remarks were given by Mr. Peter Haider - the president of UPF Austria followed by the Ambassador of Albania to Austria H.E. Bimo. Remarks were given also by Mr. Bahri Troja - the key person who worked with Peter Haider to prepare the event and invite people. The Ambassadors of Albania to OSCE H. E. Eglantina Gjermeni also attended and greeted participants as Ambassadors for Peace as well.

After a beautiful performance by a young artist from Montenegro with an Albanian mother, Mr. Gaqo Apostoli - the Coordinator of Albanians’ Peace Council in Diaspora gave an encouraging message accompanied by a couple of songs.

After the presentation of UPF vision, initiatives, and activities on the international level and UPF Albania, 15 VIPs were appointed as Ambassadors for Peace, constituting this way the Albanians’ Peace Council in Austria. Mr. Bahri Troja was elected as its first Chairman.
