FFWPU France's 2-Day Childrens Workshop in Chamarande, France

We had a wonderful 2-days children’s workshop in our training center in Chamarande on July 17 - 18, 2021.

We were 41 children, 25 parents and 4 grandparents. The theme was “ The quest of God.” As we had beautiful weather all the activities could be done outside. We had lectures on the workshop theme, a lecture and interactive discussions on purity for the elder children. The children baked cookies, pizzas, played sports and refreshed themselves in the swimming pools. Three big highlights of the workshop were a walk in the forest, a service project for the garden of the Chamarande training center and a Campfire with sausages and songs. The atmosphere of the whole workshop was really beautiful.

Not only did the children connect well with each other but also the parents had great moments to share. As many families are living far away, it was very valuable for parents and children to meet other people who share the same values.

At the end of the workshop, we held a ceremony where each participants received a candle to use for praying back home on a candle holder they created themselves during the workshop. Many participants started using their candles for their prayers in the days following the workshop.

All the children were already wondering when will the next workshop take place.
