Give back at LLM and join a team!

Hey everyone! This is your volunteer coordinator in NYC. I hope you are all finding ways to get connected this Spring. If you haven’t joined a team this quarter, don’t worry! There are still a lot of opportunities to give back on a team!

What do you care about? If you like to connect with people, then consider joining the Care Team where you can be a barista and serve coffee at church. Or, if it’s easier to give back during the week, you can come into the office for a couple hours and send out birthday cards! If you want to get involved with ministry, then join a LIFE Team, such as kidsLIFE or Junction NYC. If you are creative and have an eye for beauty, then explore getting involved with the Creative Team where you can help with the new LLM web site or perhaps stage design!

Right now, we are continuing to build a strong Care Team so that we can express our love to each person in our community and beyond. I encourage you to consider joining with all the other brothers and sisters who have said, “I Care,” and turn your thoughts into action. Read more about the i Care campaign below.

Whatever you feel called to do, drop me an e-mail and I’ll help you to find the right position. Getting involved is easy and commitments are flexible, and I’m here to help make sure that you are investing your time in a way that is rewarding and fun!

Introducing the Care Team!

The i Care campaign is a call to everyone who cares about the future of this church and cares about that enough to put themselves out there and take a stand for the life of another person.

We are flinging our doors wide open and welcoming in the world. Let’s receive them with prayer, with a plan, with unity, and with intention. This is how we will show we care.

This may mean serving coffee at church or even being the one to clean it up. It may mean picking up the phone and calling those who haven’t been around in awhile. It may mean teaching those who want to learn and praying for those who don’t.

The Care Team at LovinLIFE is the home for members who want to take care of the new disciples of True Parents who are just finding their faith as well as take care of the older member who may be starting to lose theirs. Father says “It belongs to those who love it most.” So if this is “Our Place” then we are the ones who are to love and care about it the most.

Let’s start caring and making this our place to come home to. Start today by thinking about what you care about and talking with others who are also saying “i Care.”
