We are pleased to invite you to join us for a special program to be convened in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on May 9, 2010, beginning at 10:00 AM. The program will feature two primary components. The first part will offer a tribute to the 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary of Rev. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon and their lifelong vision to establish a global community of nations and religions---an “Abel UN”---guided by the ideal of “one family under God.” The second part is entitled a “Legacy of Peace” program in honor of those who have sacrificed their lives for the sake of others. In attendance will be distinguished leaders from various fields, including diplomats, religious leaders, NGO leaders, and Ambassadors for Peace.

This program is being organized by the Universal Peace Federation. UPF’s Founder, Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, during this year of his 90th birthday and the publication of his autobiography, has encouraged UPF to redouble its efforts to establish an “Abel UN,” and at the same time give honor to individuals who have dedicated their lives in service to peace. In this way, we can be reminded of the importance and value of our own lives, and of the opportunity we have to leave behind a legacy of peace.

During the program, honor will be given to several leading “Ambassadors for Peace” who passed away recently. At a March 18 “Legacy of Peace” program, convened at the United Nations, we honored H.E. Abdurrahman Wahid, former president of Indonesia; H.E. Rodrigo Carazo, former president of Costa Rica, H.E. Steingrimur Hermannsson, former prime minister of Iceland; and H.E. Alexander Haig, former Secretary of State of the United States, H.E. Kim Dae Jung, former President of Korea, Dr. Laxmi Singhvi, former supreme court justice in India, Sheikh Hassan Cisse, a major Islamic Leader in Africa, and finally Ambassador Hedi Annabi and the 100 UN staff-members who died in the line of duty during the earthquake that struck Haiti.

In honor of our True Parents 50th wedding anniversary we are asking a contribution of $250, $500 or $1000 or more. Priority seating, a signed program from Rev. In Jin Moon and a picture with members of the True Family will be provide to acknowledge the generosity of those attending this historical occasion. Your contribution will help to offset the expense of this event and other recent providential programs held in America.

You will be responsible for your own transportation, however, lodging will be provided for one night in Las Vegas. Please RSVP by May 4, 2010. We hope you will join us on May 9 for the program in Las Vegas to honor UPF’s Founders and others who have blessed this world with a legacy of peace. We look forward to your favorable reply.
