Here’s a partial list of some spiritual gifts – talents and abilities given by our Heavenly Parent(s), uniquely expressed by your personality and character. This week take a few minutes to meditate on and discover your spiritual gifts. Try to choose 2 spiritual gifts that you cherish in your heart. Then try to choose one ability that you would like to work on, that you feel you would like some help with.
Creative Communication: The divine ability/enablement/gift to communicate God’s truth through a variety of art forms.
I feel inspired to communicate an aspect of God’s love and truth, wisdom for life, a deeply meaningful message through my artistic talents
Teaching: The divine ability/enablement/gift to understand, clearly explain, and apply the Word of God, thus causing greater Christlikeness in the lives of listeners.
I can teach from God’s words in a way people can relate, and apply those words to bring out their best.
Encouragement: The divine ability/enablement/gift to present truth so as to strengthen, comfort, or urge to action those who are discouraged or wavering in their faith.
I have a gift to find encouraging words to strengthen the faith of others.
Wisdom: The divine ability/enablement/gift to apply spiritual truth effectively to meet a need in a specific situation.
I see connections between people’s needs and spiritual truths in an applicable relatable way.
Mercy: The divine ability/enablement/gift to cheerfully and practically help those who are suffering or are in need.
I have a compassionate non-judgmental approach to helping people in need and enjoy lifting them up, supporting in a practical way.
Hospitality: The divine ability/enablement/gift to care for people by providing fellowship, food, and shelter.
It comes to me naturally to provide a welcoming environment for people through offering meals, a place to stay, an enjoyable social atmosphere to share meaningfully and uplifting one another
Shepherding and Pastoring: The divine ability/enablement/gift to nurture, care for, and guide people
toward ongoing spiritual maturity and becoming like Christ.
I love to nurture, care for and guide people towards spiritual growth, and the model and example of our True Parents.
Evangelism: The divine enablement to effectively communicate the Gospel to unbelievers so they respond in faith and move toward discipleship.
I get excited at the opportunity to share my love for Principle and God’s word to newcomers and seeking people so they can respond and connect to a spiritual mentor, or inspirational program.
Loving Beyond Culture: The divine ability/enablement/gift to transcend one’s traditions and conventions while maintaining core principles, for the sake of loving and serving in ministry.
I get excited to learn about and transcend my own cultural background for the sake of bringing people together as One Family Under God – beyond barriers of race, religion or culture.
Faith: The divine ability/enablement/gift to act on God’s promises with confidence and unwavering belief in his ability to fulfill his purposes.
I have a trusting nature towards God as a Parent we can believe to fulfill His promises and I have a strong tendency to act on that conviction.
