The first Youth Club Hub at South London Peace Embassy since Covid lockdown

The isolation of recent months has affected us all, so last Saturday it was inspiring to welcome 16 BC’s to the first youth club session since lockdown. The excitement of seeing each other was apparent and they all enjoyed the opportunity to play board games and table tennis, as well as socialise with friends whom they had not seen for a while. There is no better way to build character, understanding of others and deeper relationships than through doing activities together.

I never cease to be amazed at our young people’s graceful competitiveness as they encourage one another, praise each other for a clever or successful move, and treat each other with respect. They surely know how to enjoy the game regardless of the outcome. I find hope in spending time and investing in our youth as they truly are God’s and ours most precious asset.
