As we welcome the turn of another year, I greet you with hope and gratitude for the journey we share. 2025 has been a year marked by both the weight of global challenges and the promise of what we can achieve together.

Here at the Global Peace Foundation, we have witnessed impressive signs of progress and renewal. Most notably, this past August in Seoul, the International Forum on One Korea and the Korean Dream Hangang Festa elevated the movement for a free and unified Korea to a whole new level - building grassroots momentum, energizing media engagement, and strengthening cultural pride and public support for the Korean Dream of a free and unified peninsula.

Likewise in Africa, the African Renaissance Initiative (ARI) is making significant progress as it seeks to renew Africa by promoting ethical leadership, empowering youth, and strengthening Ubuntu values and community engagement to build unity, dignity, sustainable development, and lasting peace. ARI recently launched the Ubuntu Africa Youth Assembly webinar series, engaging young leaders across the Continent to become the catalysts and vanguard for Africa rising to the forefront of the 21st century.

Such programs are more than milestones; they are reminders of what is possible when local leadership, shared vision, and moral courage converge. From the Korean peninsula to the heart of Africa, we experience how extraordinary people, rising from their families, neighborhoods, and communities, are shaping the future of their nations and, in turn, contributing to the peace of our world.

To each of you—leaders, volunteers, partners large and small—I extend my deep thanks. Your efforts to invest in human dignity, to build bridges across communities, and to develop leaders of integrity reflect the vision of One Family under God. Though the path is often difficult, your resilience and determination inspire confidence and hope for so many others.

As the new year unfolds, may you find renewed strength and inspiration. May your communities grow in solidarity, your voices gain in power, and your service radiate peace across borders.

Together, we can turn the tide, so that the bonds of our human family are far stronger and resilient than the forces that seek to divide us.
