Colorado Family Church: Kick Starting a New Outreach Providence with Alice Fleisher

As you are well aware, True Mother has recently called our worldwide membership to become active witnesses for the True Parents’ Providence. I would like to remind you that witnessing remains one of the basic responsibilities of each follower of the Messiah Couple. Still, I would envision any such providence that would develop within the Colorado Family Church Community be done out of a joyful passion to find and save God’s precious children rather than out of duty.

On this topic here is a quote from a paper I wrote on Callings and Purpose:

I believe that in addition to the multitude and multilevel goals that we strive for in our lives, it is important to have overarching visions and dreams to temper and shape our efforts. We are blessed that God has revealed three overarching purposes that I am convicted will transform your lives and spiritual walk, if you use them to face and deal with all challenges and circumstances that happen to you, no matter the scope or intensity. Take them to heart and make them the guiding purposes for your lives. These are: 1) the Great Commandment, 2) the Great Commission, 3), the Call to Be Kingdom Builders. All three are to be found in the Bible, though I believe Rev. Moon has added much depth and understanding to the third one.

The Great Commandment: John 15:12 (RSV): This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you . . . you did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide; so whatever you ask the Father in my name

he may give it to you.

The Great Commission: Matthew 28:16-20 (RSV) Go therefore and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.

Kingdom Building In Rev. Moon teaching expressed through the theological treatise called the Divine Principle we are taught that God created human beings to be His children, in His image, and we supposed to be in a full and rich relationship of Love and Joy with our Heavenly Parent. Adam and Eve were to achieve that rich relationship based on fulfill the Three Blessings (Genesis 1:28) – Be fruitful (spiritually mature/perfect at least in heart and love), Multiply (refers to family perfection extending out to the society), and take dominion (refers to being good stewards of creation). The realization of such a wonderful reality from the individual to the cosmic level was undermined and twisted due to the Fall. Kingdom building, at least for Unificationists, refers to realizing and transforming this fallen world into an ideal one substantially, on the earth and in the afterlife, based on fulfilling these three Blessings.

I would like to propose and host a Zoom meeting for any and all interested Colorado Family Church members to consider how to imbue our community culture with a witnessing welcoming spirit as well as how to seamlessly integrate those to whom we witness into our current caring community and culture. I am scheduling the first of what I hope will be a series of additional meetings to discuss strategies that could include doing a prayer condition, for Monday, September 18, 2023 at 8:00 pm.
