Colorado Family Church: Special guest speaker Sunday, Gelo Fleisher

This Sunday we will have a special guest speaker, Gelo Fleisher. Gelo is a 3rd generation Coloradoan. After graduating high school, he spent time as a missionary, travelling to Mongolia, Korea, and across the US. Going to college at the Wharton school of business, he graduated first in his class while also being a youth pastor in Philadelphia. Currently he is a director of finance at a mid-sized insurance agency. But his passion is fiction writing and making video games, winning awards for both. He was Blessed in marriage with Kazuyo Yagawa in 2003 and they have two wonderful daughters. They have been big supporters of our youth ministry and have also been hosting the Marriage Course annually.

Gelo will be speaking on, “What to Leave Behind.” This will be a message about looking at ourselves and seeing what we need to put aside if we want to become better people.

Tomorrow will also be our monthly potluck. As usual, the church will provide rotisserie chickens and rice. Please bring a dish to share, and please remember to avoid anything with nuts or peanuts.

Heartland Academy’s annual Children’s Business Fair is coming up on December 17 from 10am-noon. If your child is interested in participating, please speak to Pastor Adonia. Otherwise, we welcome everyone to come and support our youth.

We are still in need of one or two volunteers for our Preschool Sunday School class. If you are able to volunteer once or twice a month to support this class, it would be a huge help. Please talk to the pastors if you are interested.
