New Beginnings As summer draws to a close, the new semester is underway. It’s an exciting time for college students, especially freshmen who are beginning their first year of college. There is so much anticipation for the new adventures that await them on campus!
Our CARP chapter leaders had a powerful Momentum leadership workshop in August, and are ready to hit the ground running. They are excited to bring hope and vision to their campuses, based on our three Core Principles of 1) God, 2) Family, and 3) Peace. Our founders have always encouraged utilizing our creativity and passions in all that we do, and CARP leaders are very creative people. I am very excited to see the unique experiences that each chapter will have this semester.
I recently had a conversation with a new member who joined CARP last year, participated in the New Hope HJ Pilgrimage this past summer, and now is serving as an officer for his local CARP chapter. He told me that in school, he can learn ideas and skills that are important, but individually lack meaning, like pieces of a puzzle. However, now through the Principled view that he has learned in CARP, he can see how they fit into the big picture of a meaningful life – a life lived in service to God and others.
That is what it’s all about – helping students live a more meaningful life! We look forward to seeing more young people discover the joy and thrill of such a life.

Experiencing the Footsteps of Our Founders
On July 25-31, 2023, a group of 23 students and staff from CARP chapters throughout the United States went to Korea for a special pilgrimage. Over the course of a week, they traveled all over South Korea to understand and experience the history and heart of CARP Founders, Father and Mother Moon, based on the theme “Experience the Footsteps of True Parents.”

CARP Momentum 2023
On August 2-7, 2023, National CARP hosted its annual “CARP Momentum” leadership retreat, in Las Vegas, NV, to clarify and unify on a shared national vision for CARP, to allow networking and building bonds across chapters, and to help chapters to make their plans for the school year.

Repping CARP On Campus
Like they do every semester, many CARP chapters participated in their schools’ club fairs, giving them an opportunity to reach out to students and make CARP’s presence known on campus. It was very successful, with many students signing up to be part of CARP!
