Thank you, 2022 🎆 What a year! Whenever the new year approaches, one may think, “where did all the time go?” Oftentimes, when we look back at the past year, we recognize that there is actually so much that happened than we initially thought. We want to take a moment to conclude the year by sharing a few of our top victories as National CARP in 2022:
1. New Chapters — in 2022, we were able to have four new chapters registered, 11 new developing chapters, and CARP present in four more states! 2. Momentum 2022 — this summer leadership retreat brought together all the local CARP student leaders to be rejuvenated in their purpose for CARP and get ready for the new school year. It brought together a record number of over 90 students across America! 3. Local Director’s retreat — as the main leaders directing the local chapters and hubs, a handful of local CARP directors came together to discuss National CARP’s vision and mission, and goals for the future.
All of these were huge accomplishments that we achieved together with all of you. We also know that there may have been moments of shortcoming, maybe regret, but most importantly, growth. We want to learn from them so that we can do more and be more for CARP. We want to thank everyone for all of your incredible support for continuing to make CARP what it is today.
As 2022 was the year of the tiger, we truly believe we embodied the strength and courage of one.
2023 — we welcome you!
CARP Hawaii Shows Etiquette
The CARP leaders have done it again! On November 4th, 2022, CARP Hawaii held an “Etiquette Social Night’’ for their monthly social event, hosted by university junior and CARP leader Tamae Seto. She taught the students etiquettes and how to engage in conversations. The dinner was prepared by CARP students Sumio, Kimi, and Sonse Kawasaki.

CARP Indiana Gathers for Thanksgiving
At the end of November, CARP Indiana held their first CARP event! It was a Thanksgiving dinner where CARP was officially introduced to all the participants, followed by some games, sharing of reflections, and good food. In total, there were 22 attendees.

CARP Las Vegas Hosts Retreat on University Campus
CARP Las Vegas hosted their monthly two-day retreat at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) campus for the first time from November 18th - 19th! Before the retreat started, CARP Las Vegas members made time for daily prayer on campus to prepare for the event.

CARP Student Represents North America for International S!NERGY Competition
CARP LA member Kengo Kawa participated in a student competition called S!NERGY International 2022 held by the organization, International Association of Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP), on November 26th.
