CARP USA Newsletter: New Semester Tidings - Finding a space for joy in 2020

2020-09-24 · Source: tparents.org

Creating a Little Joy For many, 2020 is a year where the negatives seem to outshine the positives. Despite that, 2020 still remains a year of opportunity, an opportunity to share, to grow, and most importantly to give love.

In that spirit, CARP chapters around America have started the fall semester with their regular virtual meetings and evening programs. And, because they’re all online, they’re open for anyone to join!

Here are some highlights from this month:

After their initial BBQ kickoff, CARP Chicago (left/top) hosts their meetings with flair and a bit of fun, digging into the deep questions and giving space for their chapter to experience the CARP community.

CARP New Jersey (right/bottom) hosted a service project to share some home-baked love with their community during lockdown. In total, they baked over 700 cookies! Read about it here!

CARP Las Vegas (left/top) has both Tribe Talks going on Thursdays as well as an upcoming 2 day workshop this weekend! Last week, they asked, “How can I truly be happy?”

CARP Bay Area (right/bottom) also keeps up with regular meetings, Zoomnites with special guest speakers, and mini Peace Starts With Me events exploring the avenues that students can take for peace. On Sept 25, their first one will go live under the theme, “Empowering Individuals.”

and so much more is happening!

This Saturday, September 26 at 8:30 PM EDT, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, Founder of CARP, is gathering leaders from around the world who are dedicated to peace for an international Rally of Hope. Following on the momentum of last month’s Rally of Hope, Mother Moon has turned it into a series of peace talks with different special guests.
