Three Day Fast for the Watergate Crisis on the steps of the US Capitol Building

This is me and Neil Salonen during the 3-day fast for the Watergate crisis.

Boy did we have intense prayer lives back then!

I had offered my fast a week early so I could keep my energy up organizing and dealing with the media etc.

I offered a 70-hour no-sleep condition instead of the fast. Ever tried that?

For me it was MUCH tougher than even a 7-day fast.

I was chewing on ginseng roots to stay up while I wrote press releases, applied for various demonstration permits, and recorded a tape of my songs to send to my wife Susan who was then a missionary in Iran.
