Memorial Ceremony at the New York City Church honors our passed loved ones

On July 3, 2016, a memorial was held during our weekly Sunday service in Manhattan in recognition and honor of our loved ones who have passed into the spirit world.

At the New York City Family Church, we recognize that we all have loved ones that have gone on, and we would hope that hosting a memorial service will inspire each of us to not forget our loved ones but to honor them in our own way.

During the event, each family or participant brought a picture of their loved one and gave a brief profile of that person. A total of 23 participants were involved, and bouquets of flowers were presented to each of the participants at the end of the ceremony.

Dr. Bishop Jesse Edwards began the ceremony with an opening prayer and Rev. Edner Pierre-Louis, District Pastor of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) in New York, gave the sermon. A potluck dinner followed the event.
