Artificial intelligence (AI) is already integrated into almost every area of human activity. The exponential advance in the performance of machine learning has repeatedly exceeded expectations.
Will the advent of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) or Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI) usher in a radically new and disruptive epoch in human, or post human history? • What impact will AGI/ASI have on the traditional understanding of the human being as a unique creation, created in the image and likeness of God, imago dei? • Is it too late to align AI with human values and goals, and with divine providence?
• Can AI be harnessed in such a way as to serve providential objectives of human history, the Kingdom of God?
The Higher Purpose Forum is pleased to co-host Part II in a series on AI with HJI Graduate School of Peace and Public Leadership. We invite you to register for Our Future With AI - Part II: Theological Anthropology, Alignment and Eschatology, to be held via ZOOM at 7 PM ET on Wednesday, May 7th.
Sincerely, James B. Edgerly Director, Higher Purpose Forum
