We invite you to participate in next Tuesday’s (July 2nd) meeting of the Higher Purpose Forum in which we will introduce a new topic area: “The Family & Positive Peace”. Our first meeting on the topic will feature a presentation by Dr. Thomas Ward, provost and professor at HJI.

Article 16 of The United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) asserts that “the family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by

society and the State.” This HPF Session explores the rationale for the strong position taken on the value of the family in the UDHR. It highlights the contribution of the Universal Peace Federation’s (UPF) to the vision of the family and the work in this domain today by UPF and HJI Co-Founder Hak Ja Han Moon.

This will be our final meeting for the summer. We will resume HPF programs in September.
