WFWP Birmingham, UK: UN International Women's Day Women's Peace Meeting

We had a really wonderful International Women’s Day on Friday March 14th, focusing on women who are actively helping other women. After watching a very touching movie, Zahra, about a Somali woman who came to the UK as a refugee, some amazing women responded. Marcia, chair of WAITS, Roohina, a retired gynecologist and obstetrician, Maureen, a trauma therapist, and Prachi, a trainer in leadership of the heart. Then an open floor, and beautiful sharing from the heart, by so many women of all races, cultures and faiths.

We finished with a lovely meditation led by Aisha.

Afterwards, we shared some delicious food, and then lots of chatting and friendship building! Thank you to all who came and for your support.
