UPF / WFWP Birmingham, UK Principles of Peace Seminar with Dr. David Hanna

On Saturday October 12th, a joint 1-day UPF / WFWP ‘Principles of Peace’ seminar was held in Birmingham. Dr. David Hanna gave the 3 main presentations, summarising the essential elements of an ideal world, why such a world has not been realised, and the long journey of human history towards that ideal. With numerous quotes from our sacred scriptures, he gave an inclusive presentation, suitable for a diverse audience of many faiths and cultures.

To conclude, we presented a summary of the Life and Works of Father and Mother Moon. About 150 people attended throughout the day, and the overall feedback was very positive. There was time for sharing in lively discussion, after which we enjoyed a nice lunch together, with a number of participants making food contributions, in addition to all the traditional vegetarian food we had ordered. A collection was also made for a WFWP project to help children in Gaza, and generous donations of £750 were received. In these difficult and troubled times, we hope that everyone could gain a little inspiration to continue all our efforts to make a better world.
