King and Queen of United Kingdom honor us with a Coronation Champion Award

Recently, our peace and community activities were recognized by the new King and Queen! I received a ‘Coronation Champion’s’ award, one of 500 given to people from all parts of the United Kingdom. Especially Queen Camilla has been working for some time to promote such activities through the Royal Voluntary Service.

A package arrived with a beautiful certificate, signed by King Charles and Camilla, a very nice pin/badge to wear, and 2 tickets for the Coronation Concert, held at Windsor Castle on Sunday evening. There was a very warm, celebratory atmosphere at the concert, and we genuinely felt God’s presence, and that we were representing True Mother, and our True Parents, in being there.

The crowd, and all the performers, represented an incredible diversity and there was a real, international feeling of ‘one family, even though it was a very ‘British’ occasion! In his remarks on stage, Prince William said he felt sure his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, was “up there, keeping an eye on us”. We felt the same for our True Father, and we hope there will be a way for us to work through WFWP and UPF to develop this opening in the future.
