For decades at The Principled Academy, we focused on a virtue of the month. Now our new website: www,valuesandvirtues,org/ has all those virtues, explaining and teaching each one with lots of famous stories at different grade levels. And with each story there are follow up teaching questions as well as some learning activities.

Welcome to Values and Virtues Get Started

We’re excited to welcome you to our website You’re in for a fun and easy-to-access learning adventure.

What We Offer Check out the highlighted twelve virtues for grade levels from Pre- Kindergarten (ages 4 and 5) to Sixth grade (ages 10 and II). Each virtue features at least four stories, most of which are videos of read-aloud, captivating published books.

Every story has companion content. which includes a definition of the virtue, a summary of the book, learning objectives, and guiding questions that promote comprehension of the virtue and how to apply it.

Bonus! The “Activities” section is currently under construction and will be available in the near future. Since kids (and adults!) learn best by doing, this part will be the icing on the cake that ensures lasting comprehension. Additionally, the website is geared to continuously produce new values and virtues material for our subscribers to use and enjoy.

We invite you to take a good look at the high- quality, entertaining stories that engage and entertain students. Don’t stop there! Go deeper and explore the “Companion Content.”

Educators know that just reading a story isn’t enough to ensure that learning will take place. That’s why we created a special sauce - the “Guiding Questions” section - that invites students to grapple with the content as well as respond to open- ended questions.

As readers travel through the list of ten questions. they are encouraged to think about how the lessons in the story apply to their own lives. Furthermore. teachers and students w ill be excited to try out the activities that accompany the lessons.
