Historic Parallels and Mohamad's Course

Mohammed, (unlike Jesus, who had the advantageous of coming upon the foundation of Moses, “the learnt wisdom and established culture of the Old Testament”), was responsible to raise a culture from a pre-Formation Level (burying babies in the desert if they were girls and worshiping many Gods), through a formation level or period of law and then through the Growth Level so Moslems as well as Christians could receive the Second Coming of the Christ.

However, Mohammed was not able to accomplish all this for two main reasons: 1) He only conducted his mission for 22 years and during most of that time various tribes were trying to kill him and engaged in warfare against him. 2) Second he had to work with a Pre-Formation level of mentally and a lawless nomadic culture. This caused him to focus on teaching and building a “rule of law” culture and fear of God’s punishments. Thus within Islam there is: A predominate focus on the fear of punishment; A limited expression of Jesus’ messages of forgiveness; And a multitude of guiding laws causing many Muslims to be focus on the “rule of law” as Judaism, Old Testament’s Rule of Law has. In all 3 Religions: Islam, Judaism and Christianity there was only a beginning on a long journey of self or spiritual development with the final goal of establishing a Parent-True Child relationship with God as each individual’s Heavenly Parent or Father and therefore we can find reference in Islam’s 99 names of God to this final end goal of a heartistic relationship between God and mankind, where the name of “ha’- bebee” or lover is recognized as a named of God.

Actually the mission of all major religions is similar: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, etc.– to educate, motivate and empower their followers to grow themselves through “free choices” to a higher state of consciousness and experience God as a Being of absolute, infinite love and develop a parental-child relationship with God, and thus to come to know God not just as an all powerful Lord ruling over imperfect humans through laws and fear of punishments, but as a loving Parent.

Striking Historic Parallels

1) Mohammad’s first wife was 40 years old while he was 25 at the time of their marriage. Thus she occupied the “mothers position” and she restored 3 kinds of lost love: 1st brother/sister before their marriage, 2nd mother/son through her guiding and supporting Mohammad to accept his mission and 3rd husband/wife by putting Mohammad’s mission above their personal relationship.

2) Mohammed was called to Prophethood at the age of 40, like Moses and he sacrificed the pleasures of physical wealth to accept his mission.

3) Like Jesus, he gained first 3 major disciples, then 12 and later 70 apostles.

4) He underwent 3 temptations by the Quraish tribe, similar to Jesus 3 temptations by the devil. His 1st 7 year course ended with his rejection of the 3 temptations and the continued unity of his 70 apostles in the face of potential death.

“If your ambition is to possess wealth, we will amass for you as much as you wish; if your aspiration is to win honor and power, we are prepared to swear allegiance to you as our overlord and king; if you have fancy for beauty, you shall have the hand of the finest maiden or your own choice”.

5) He spent 3 days in a cave escaping death in Mecca, as Moses 3-day course of escaping the Pharaoh before crossing the Red Sea and beginning his wilderness course; and Jesus 3 days in the tomb before entering the spirit world where he would continue his mission.

6) Following the exile of Jacob for 3 periods of 7 years, Mohammad underwent 3 distinct 7 year periods of restoration for a total of 21 years concluding with his entrance into Mecca and acceptance by the surrounding clans, repeating Jacobs return after 21 years.

7) As Jesus forgave his murders while hanging on the cross, Mohammad forgave his enemies, such as Hamza for eating the liver and wearing the intestines as a necklace of Mohammad’s dear uncle.

8) 400 years before 1920 - Sultan Suleyman began in 1520 a purification of Islam – as Martin Luther in 1517 began a purification of Christianity.
