Saturday 5/21/22 Fellowship Breakfast with the Heavenly USA Team.
Schedule: After breakfast, we watched an introductory video with testimonies from clergy with Heavenly USA. Next invited up a Heavenly USA member to give a testimony about the experience of creating the “We Sing for Ukraine video. Then we watched the Ukraine video and had table discussions where guest shared their response to the video and Heavenly USA members could share about their experience with making the video. Next one Heavenly USA member shared the goals and mission of Heavenly USA and then again we had time for discussions at each table. Finally have lot of sharing, the Heavenly USA team performed a powerful version of “Light of Grace”. Then we gathered in a standing circle, heard a few comments and appreciations from guests, sang “We Are One in the Spirit” together, and had a closing prayer.
There were 26 adult participants, two pastors, two community leaders, one new guest from Reno and two repeat guests. Many thanks to the Heavenly USA Team for their willingness to be spontaneous and respond to changes in plans.
Saturday 5/21/22 Heavenly USA performance at
Sacramento Theological Seminary Graduation Ceremony
The Heavenly USA Team’s photo and description was featured on the back of the program brochure for the graduation. They performed “Blessing of Glory” as an opening song, then after the welcoming addresses and just before the conferring of the degrees, they offered a lively gospel song “If You Are Happy”.
Maree Gauper, ACLC coordinator for Yuba-Sutter counties, was awarded a Bachelors of Biblical Studies.
Sunday 5/22/22 Interfaith Council of Greater Sacramento (ICGS) “Power of One” community awards ceremony.
SVFC Pastor Charles de Watteville (who is on the ICGS board) gave an introduction to one awardee and offered the closing prayer. (Thank you Mike Thick for the photos).
