Honoring the advent of our True Parents and welcoming the 10th year of 천일국 Cheon Il Guk, our world Family will joyfully and prayerfully participate in a
Grand Celebration over many days beginning from January 1st – 6th according to the lunar calendar (Sunday February 14th – Friday February 19th solar).
On January 8, 2010 (solar), True Father spoke about this 6-day celebration saying:
This period will be a time for a festival to celebrate and commemorate
True Parents’ Birthday. It represents the six-day period that was required for God’s creation of the heavens and the earth and a period that completes the providence of re-creation through which Cain and Abel can be reconciled centering on the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, the King of Kings. A new beginning will be made on the 7th day, following this 6-day period.
On that 7th day, brothers and sisters from around the world will have an opportunity to visit the brand new World Headquarters of
천심 통일 교회 Cheon Shim Tongil Kyohe The Unification Church that has the Heart of Heaven in Seoul to offer our sincere respectful prayers and devotions there. The following day, Sunday, January 21, 2010 (solar) is the grand opening and dedication ceremony of this headquarters building, which is called
천복궁 Cheon Bok Gung Heaven’s Heart Temple.

Do you know the significance of January 13, 2001? It was the day of the Coronation Ceremony for God’s Kingship. For countless years Heaven had been waiting for that event in eager anticipation. It was the greatest and most exalted celebration humanity had ever witnessed. On that day, Reverend Moon, who had received the anointing as the True Parent of all humankind and traveled a path of indescribable suffering and pain until he gained the final victory, offered his entire foundation to Heaven.
For tens of thousands of years, God had endured an existence full of lamentation and grief, even as He conducted His providence with a parental heart. When that coronation ceremony was offered to Him, it marked the moment of His long awaited liberation and inner freedom. On that providential day, we declared to all heaven and earth that we would attend God as the vertical True Parent and Great King of Heaven and Earth, that we would unfurl and raise high the banner of Cheon Il Guk, and that the new sovereignty of Heaven had begun.

Dear world leaders! This is a day to rejoice. I have set these conditions and on the 13th day of January this year, I held the Coronation Ceremony for the Kingship of God in Korea. That was the greatest day of celebration in all human history. We liberated God’s heart for the first time. He could start His new history based on the might and power of true love. This is the dawn of the new age, in which humankind in heaven and on earth can attend the liberated God in gratitude. From now, we will easily witness the living God and often notice helping hands from the spirit world.

True Father was born on January 6, 1920 by the lunar calendar (February 25 by the solar calendar) in the home at 2221 Sangsa-ri, Deogeon-myeon, Jeongju-gun, Pyeonganbuk-do in what is today North Korea. He was born as the second son among the thirteen children of Kyung Yoo Moon (Choong-bu nim which means Loyal Father) and Kyung Gye Kim (Choong-mo nim which means Loyal Mother). True Mother was born on January 6, 1943 by the lunar calendar (February 10 by the solar calendar) at 4:30 a.m. at 26 Sinui-ri, Anju-eup, Anju-gun, Pyeongannam-do in what is now North Korea. She was born as the only daughter of Seung Woon Han and Soon Ae Hong (Dae-mo nim which means Great Mother).
True Parents’ Birthplaces
The provinces 도 Do of Korea are divided as follows:
first into counties: 군 Gun (pronounced “Goon”)
next into hamlets (a subdivision of a county): 면 Myeon
next into townships, called 읍 Eup
and then further divided into village-sized sectors named 리 ri (sometimes “li” or “ni”).

Sangsa-ri 상사리 – the village where True Father was born and
Shin-ri 신리 – the village where True Mother was born.
These two villages are approximately 16 miles (or 25 kilometers) from one another.
Again, True Father was born on January 6, 1920 lunar, and True Mother was born on January 6, 1943 lunar.
How old are you, True Parents?
What are the ages of True Father and True Mother this year?
Using the Korean method of determining one’s age, a person is born at one year old (counting the months of time spent before birth) and becomes another year older on the following lunar New Year’s Day. Consequently, this year, 2010, by the Korean way of determining one’s age,
True Father becomes 91 years old, and True Mother becomes 68 years old on January 1, 2010 lunar.
Using Western counting,
True Father becomes 90 and True Mother becomes 67 on their birthday.
Since True Parents use January 6, 2010 lunar as their birthday, by the Western way of counting they become 90 years old and 67 years old on January 6, 2010 lunar (which falls this year on February 19th solar).
Over the years, True Father has most often used the Western method of determining his age in preference to the Korean method. On True God’s Day 1997, in Brazil, for instance, True Father said, concerning his wedding day, March 16, 1960 lunar: source
“When the Holy Wedding was held, Mother was 17 years old and I was 40.”
Also, you’ll find below that True Father reported that True Mother entered her 34th year and became 34 years old in 1977. Also, True Father celebrated his 60th birthday in 1980. These are all examples of the Western method of determining one’s age.
To be consistent, should True Father say that he was 40 years old in 1960, and 60 years old in 1980, he would become 90 years old in 2010, yet for the last few years we’ve acknowledged that True Father has been using the lunar calendar to calculate his age. His 88th birthday or Mi-soo, was celebrated in 2007, and his 90th birthday was celebrated in 2009. In these two instances, True Father’s age was determined according to the Korean method of calculation.
This year, then, using the Korean method of counting, we will celebrate True Father’s 91st birthday. In the same way of counting, this year we will celebrate True Mother’s 68th birthday. Some celebrations may announce that this year True Father becomes 90 years old and True Mother becomes 67 years old, using the Western method of counting.
II. Significant Events in True Parents’ Early Lives
True Father’s Life 1920s -1940s

Sun Myung Moon’s Life In His Own Words From Part 1:
When looking on at True Parents’ birthday party, with people from countries all over the world filling a hall, does God envy me, or not? [Not at all.] Why should He be happy? Because I am God’s son. Therefore, far from envying me, He must love it that you are celebrating my birthday. Just as you are happy when preparing for your child’s birthday, God is also happy to celebrate His son’s birthday.
From Part 2:
When I was about eleven years old, I announced to my father that I would sell a huge bag full of rice (about eighteen liters’ worth) to help someone. I remember even now carrying that enormous bag of rice on my back and walking a distance of twenty li. I should have had a rope or a cord to make it easier to carry such a large bag, but I just carried it on my back. My heart was quivering. [Father laughs.] My heart was beating fast and I had to go, “Huh! huh!” many times. I still remember that, even now. I’m sure I will not forget it for the rest of my life. All of these things allowed me to be in a position to go the way of the providence.

At the age of fifteen, I had an unusual experience. At the end of a long and tearful prayer on Easter morning, Jesus Christ appeared to me, revealed many things to me, and gave me instructions. He told me many profound and amazing truths. He told me that God grieves because people are in pain. Then he asked me to play a special role in God’s work on earth.
It is indeed difficult to put into words all the experiences I had when I was young. In short, the spiritual world unfolded in front of me all of a sudden; I
was able to communicate freely with the saints in the spirit world. In the calm of the mountains in northern Korea, I had personal conversations with Jesus Christ several times. The truth revealed at that time constitutes the core of the Unification Principle.
… It was from the age of fifteen and from a humble position that I began to have the experience of knowing God. At any rate, for the next nine years, I lived with the omniscient God and with Jesus. I entered the spirit world several times. Step by step, God taught me His amazing truth. It was like a long, dark night had passed by and then seeing the morning sun rising. I could see in this truth the dawn of a glorious, new culture. The revelation I received from God is called the Principle, and I received instructions to spread this Principle to the ends of the earth.

During my school days in Seoul, at your age, I did not eat lunch. It was not because I did not have rice. To understand the hungry days of your
parents, you should know the circumstances and story behind those days. You should strive to develop into dutiful sons or daughters by putting yourselves in a situation where you experience hunger and during that time repenting for not having been pious toward your parents. That’s what I think.
You are closest to God when you are hungry. When you are extremely hungry, you look at people walking by as you might your mother or your sister, as people who can help you. Under those circumstances, you find you are able to comfort and embrace millions of people.
I often fasted on my birthday. Can you celebrate your birthday without establishing a foundation of victory on an individual level, a family level, a national level, and the world level? How can you dance and do such things? You cannot. A sinner can do that only after accomplishing the responsibility God gave him. I led that kind of lifestyle.
From Part 5:
There was a time when I entered a transcendent state to look for the origin of the universe. God told me that it is the parent-child relationship – father and son. This is the conclusion. The universe originated out of the parent-child relationship. The creation is a garden created for the children. If you clearly understand God, the principles of creation are revealed naturally.
From Part 6: Concerning True Father’s first marriage in May 1944:
Sung-jin’s mother’s family was also spiritually open. They had prayed with my photograph and had been taught by the spirit world. They received many revelations at that time. They saw two mirrors appear, in the east and in the west. In the center of heaven they became one; from its center, the sun rose and shone its light all over the world, and the moon and all the stars in the cosmos from the east, west, south, and north surrounded it. Under the light shining from the moon, all of creation was transformed into a flower garden. They received many incredible revelations like that.

I’ve been severely beaten, vomiting blood. I was beaten in place of the human race with its bitterness accumulated through history. They would whip me, and then I would forget it. How wonderful it is for someone to go through such a thing and be able to say, “God, please forgive them.”
From Part 9:
What would have happened if Christianity and Korea had welcomed me? I could have absorbed Protestant America over the course of seven years. And if I had begun working on the world level after the seven-year course finished in 1952, I would have mobilized all the world’s statesmen by the time I was forty years old, leading them in one direction, toward the goal of making the kingdom of heaven on earth. That was the original providential plan.
From Part 10:
There is something I can’t forget. Many times, I was tortured or forced into a position where I couldn’t move my body. In that state, when I felt God embrace me and feed me Himself, I could feel how much He loved and dearly cherished me. I know that God, who protected me in that place of death, would do the same for you.

I would like to talk for a few moments on the background of my birth. Those who listened to Father’s sermon at Belvedere last Sunday should have recognized that there were many special dispensational events that took place, secretly, internally, in order to welcome the True Parents here on earth. In Korea there were many special spiritual groups which were unlike the conventional Christian churches which just blindly believed in the Bible and Jesus Christ, hoping to go to heaven. Those spiritual groups existed solely
to receive revelations from God to prepare the way for the Lord of the Second Advent here on earth, and to search to find the heavenly bride.
Mother was born in such circumstances to a very special spiritual family which had constantly been the instrument of God, receiving revelations of the coming of the Lord and the New Day, and what would unfold once he came.

Sun Myung Moon (Father):
Mother is very sorrowful because looking back to those days she remembers the impossible tribulation that those people, including Mother’s own mother, went through. Those people who were receiving God’s revelation had to suffer in so many incredible ways. They paved the way of indemnity, and many died in very unfortunate circumstances, sometimes in prison.
I was also sorrowful to once again think that those heavenly chosen instruments who were absolutely dedicated to God’s revelations and whose one hope was to some day meet the Messiah, never saw that day.
They had truly prepared everything for the coming of the Lord, even food and clothes.
God had precisely unfolded to them His plan for sending His son here on earth, and under untold hardships they prepared for the day of the Lord. But unfortunately they did not see that day, and one after another they died. Yet their mission continued on for three generations. At the culmination of one group which had such
revelations, I was born. The final spiritualist to inherit the mission of unfolding God’s plan to send his son here on earth recognized me at the age of six, and she said that I would be the bride of the Lord.

I did not begin my work in a gorgeous palace but in the most miserable situation. The center that I established was so small that I could reach out and touch all four walls while sitting in one place.
That was the first Unification Church, the birthplace of this new world. God’s ideal and dream was planted on the earth in that little center, just like a tiny baby conceived in its mother’s womb and then coming out to grow and bear influence in the world. In the same way, the life of the new world was conceived and was born in that small cubbyhole.
By every standard I am a successful person. I am victorious and still moving forward without limits. I am fresh and do not feel like a man of 60 years.
Where would you like to live – the physical world or the spirit world or both?
The Messiah is coming to bring these two worlds together. However, that particular intelligence is picked up by Satan before man detects it. Satan knows how the Messiah will come, being fully aware that the Messiah is coming to destroy his power. Satan will do his utmost to kill that child at birth and to crush the birth of his movement. This world has been controlled and dominated by Satan, and from the time of the Messiah’s conception in his mother’s womb through his entire life and ministry he faces the threat of destruction by Satan. He is destined to fight through the most difficult possible conditions here in the world, with nothing to ease his path.
The Messiah is destined to take the most extraordinary path of tribulation. God knows it and He will do everything possible to prepare for him. Through the ages religions have been revealed in order to establish a groundwork for the coming of the Messiah. They are merely God’s preparation for the Messiah. When the Messiah actually comes he will bring the new world, and the existing religions will be consummated by following him.

When she was asked about the source of such courage and tolerance, she answered: “My husband’s joy was indescribable whenever I delivered him a baby; it was really difficult for me to carry an infant almost every year.” However, when she heard from her husband, “Mother, I thank you very much for your hard work; the more children we have, the better they are; isn’t that God’s blessing for us?” — she felt warmly embraced by him, and all her

If you are going to really celebrate the true significance of my birthday, I want you to sacrifice and invest yourselves both spiritually and physically for the great job ahead. And in that way alone you will in the true sense celebrate my birthday today.
When you consider the national problems of the United States and think they are perplexing, how much more difficult it must be when I think of the world problems, and of restoring all mankind, down to the last blessed child of God. When our mission is going to be the cosmic restoration, of even the Spirit World, have we any moment to lose or to relax., Although I’m crying out to you here at Belvedere, I’m not imploring you alone, but the United States, the Western nations, the Eastern nations, and to every comer of the world. I want my voice to reach God. It is our mission to spread out the message to the ends of the world, so that even the remotest village in an underdeveloped land will hear the message.

4.3. Unification Ceremony and spiritual assistance
Since I established the individual, family, tribal, ethnic and national foundations centering on Korea, and advanced to the world, and because Korea is the central nation, I hurried to get here. After the Unification Ceremony, I realized that my birthday this year is historic, because the people in the spirit world never before had a chance to attend the True Parents’ birthday from a unified position, nor were they qualified to celebrate it. Also, all their descendants on earth did not have the privilege to celebrate the True Parents’ birthday. It was because the spiritual and physical foundations were not unified.
Now, however, with such privilege being provided spiritually and physically, the spirit world moves to restore descendants. From the standpoint of the Principle, the ancestors are in the archangel’s position and their descendants in Adam’s position. That is because the archangel assisted in the creation of Adam. With the unification of the ancestors in the spirit world, a foundation was created enabling them to assist in the re-creation of Adam on earth. Therefore, logic leads us to the conclusion that we have entered the time in which our ancestors can intervene in our affairs.
For this reason, this day, when the True Parents come to Korea to celebrate their birthday, is a day when they open another historic epoch. In other words, countless spirits in the other world now have the privilege to participate in this celebration. Through this, even their descendants on earth who still do not know about the Unification Church can be re-created.
We have now entered the age in which the ancestors assist their descendants and mobilize
their descendants to begin the re-creation of the earthly people who stand in a similar position to Adam. This is just like when God created Adam with the archangel’s assistance.
Based on this logic, all the people of the whole world can receive the privilege to celebrate the True Parents’ birthday. (83-109. 1976.2.5)

Please Let This Become A Day In Which The Spirit World And The Physical World Rejoice Beloved Father! Today, February 5, 1976, January 6 by the lunar calendar, is the fifty-sixth birthday of this son of yours, and the thirty-third birthday of your beloved daughter.
Our family, which made a new beginning on earth in 1960 in the name of the True Parents,
first thanks you that you have let us celebrate this birthday today in the historical year of 1976, having welcomed the day of victory, having followed the administration of the Will you desired in the period of 16 years which have passed since we were established in the center of your Will.
Please enjoy this situation and this ceremony. We know that it is grievous that the many human beings living on this earth are not able to celebrate the day that the True Parents were born. We know that it is grievous that the many spirit people who are in the spirit world also are not able to celebrate the day that the True Parents were born.
This day today is a day of parents through which a connection between heaven and earth is made, more so than on the days on which many people were born, and more than on any day in history. When we think about the fact that this is a day in which we are celebrating and commemorating that the parents were born, we know that this is a place that heaven and earth know and are bending down to watch; it is a day representing the new historical transitional period in which the spirit world and the physical world become one.
Father! In view of how very much you must have looked forward to this ceremony, please celebrate this day joyfully. Please bless the many good spirit people who are in the spirit world centered on your name. Please bless their many descendents who were born on the earth, having inherited their achievements.
At this time, please let them resolve the grief of their not having been able to commemorate personally on this earth, the day that True Parents were born. Even though all their descendents born on this earth do not know the day True Parents were born, please give them the grace of being able to celebrate this day together on this earth, on a foundation centered on their ancestors, and centered on God.
This is a new historical time in your Will in which you have wanted to complete the ideal of creation which you desired, centered on humankind and the entire spirit world in the midst of the love of the True Parents, and centered on the True Parents in the midst of your love. As we think of that, we ask you to please rejoice, Father. We earnestly request that you will allow the entire spirit world to rejoice, and that glory to reach even the earthly world, and the heart of each person to be moved and to be happy.
Please bless your children who have gathered here. Please establish this joy of celebrating the day the True Parents were born in a place where we have become one, representing all the nations, representing all the people, and representing the entire cosmos, as a condition of indemnity for the grief of the people on the earth who do not know the Will and all the spirits in the spirit world.
Now please extend your authority as the subject partner so that they may be governed within the realm of the name of the True Parents. We earnestly hope and desire, Father, that you will transform this age into an age in which we are able to work with the authority of the eldest son by having the descendents of evil parents become restored before the descendents of the good parents by Cain and Abel being switched directly.
Today, here on this day, born with the name of the True Parent, with your permission, I proclaim that all the spirits in the spirit world and all their descendents on the earth shall become one.
Therefore, we earnestly hope and desire that by calling together enemies, and by the divided tribes and nations becoming one, you will take direct dominion of them spiritually and physically so that they will be able to advance and march forward to the world of unification, following the destined relationship of the one family as a whole, following the destined relationship of the

Celebrating True Parents’ birthday, we are celebrating total universal joy and happiness together. Do you know that Mother’s and my birthdays really are on the same day? We did not arrange it that way. It is the same day by birth. Furthermore, today Mother is going over her 33rd year; she is now 34. Jesus Christ could not go over
the age of 33. He wanted to celebrate his 34th birthday with God, but he could not because of the crucifixion. Now that Mother’s age is going over 34 this year, she is going beyond the level of Jesus’ life of 33 years. Therefore today is an even more momentous day.

From this foundation, Father, You are now able to stop the march of Satan and launch a counter-offensive. Father, the tidal wave of history has been reversed and a new historical moment is at hand.
Oh my God, You had the dream of an ideal creation when You brought forth Adam and Eve and the angel upon this earth. You wanted to have Adam become Your true son, one with Your love so that he could inherit Your lordship over all creation. But that was not done. Ever since
then, all throughout history, You have been looking forward to finding one day and one man, and finally, Father, You raised me out of the humble Korean race, nurtured me, protected me and suffered with me, longing for this day of fulfillment.
Oh, Father, I praise You and comfort You. You have worked so hard and have suffered so much. Father, during the last several decades until I came to this moment, my heart has been aching because I could not give You enough comfort, could not return enough glory to You, and oftentimes, I pierced Your heart with added sorrow.
Yet Father, I have survived to the last. I did not falter along the treacherous path; I was not destroyed through the arduous path of indemnity. Father, I thank You at last I have this day of fulfillment. I humbly bow down in heartfelt gratitude for Your loving care.
Father, in the name of God and in the name of the True Parents, we have now achieved the foundation of the ideal of creation on the worldwide level. Now, true Adam’s world has been born. Adam’s world will truly bring dominion over the angelic world, and heaven and earth and the entire spirit world together will no longer come under the accusation of Satan. From this time on, whoever calls upon the name of God and the True Parents shall not come under the accusation of Satan. I solemnly declare this, Father. At last we have this day of victory and this day of joy. Father, I ask You to accept this day and this declaration.
Now the Unification Church members who are practicing the way of life of the Divine Principle, who have understood the new revelation and who are also able to give it to others, shall go beyond the realm of Satan’s accusation. This celebration of Mother’s and my birthday is beautiful and precious and I thank you, but as I already mentioned, this is merely one occasion that will spur us on to the fulfillment of the ultimate goal, to defend the love of God for the sake of the world. Today is a day of unity, a day to unite people of all races with the True Parents and to march toward the ultimate goal of the love of God. February 2, 1979 source Great events on earth always precede great events in God’s dispensation. Three years after World War I, an important heavenly birth took place. Now you accept this explanation, but
in those days, no one even thought about interpreting history in that way. At that time, Korea was occupied by Japan and in 1919 they stood up to declare independence. They failed and thousands of Koreans were killed in the uprisings. It was as though Korea was trying to turn itself around before the great event of 1920. The greatest sacrifice was made by Korean Christians, many of whom were martyred.
My hometown was Chungju, in what is now North Korea; it was a very Christian town. As a result of the uprisings, the Japanese allowed the Christians to gather to worship in the largest church and then they set it on fire, trapping everyone inside and killing them. I was born one year after the independence uprising. Chungju was the town where the most Christians were martyred.

In Oriental philosophy the sixtieth birthday completes one cycle in a person’s life, so it has a special meaning. This is the biggest birthday celebration according to Korean custom. When I was a young boy there was always a great celebration for grandfathers, with singing groups and dancers. I enjoyed the performance, but at the same time I pitied the man who was honored by the celebration; he was very old and it wouldn’t be long before he finished his life. At that time I felt I would never reach sixty, but that memory seems like just yesterday, and today I am here being congratulated on my sixtieth birthday! This celebration is because of Mother’s and my birthdays. Some might think that we would be sitting around, receiving many gifts and enjoying the day in leisure. This past God’s Day I spoke at midnight and by the end of that day I had given six long sermons for a total of eighteen hours. My legs were like poles stuck in the ground; they felt like they wouldn’t move. But still I kept talking and walking and moving around. Many people think of me with pity, thinking that my life is miserable but I don’t think I am miserable. I am a happy person
because each deed I do vibrates with love. I can send out waves of love that will vibrate throughout the world.
The Unification Church is the church of vibration, the vibration of true love. You did not come here for the sole purpose of singing “Happy Birthday” to True Parents. I don’t want you to come for that. I want you to become somebody. Become a Moonie of true love vibration. From today, as a birthday gift take back with you the vibration of true love. You are starting to vibrate today for the sake of the world. Those who want to become true vibrations of love, raise your hands.

How do you know that God is taking delight in this celebration? It is simply because Reverend Moon wants each of you to become a child of God; God knows that Reverend Moon is His son. Last year Father celebrated his 70th birthday. This is equivalent to 7,000 years, and all has been indemnified. The center root of life belongs to God; the center trunk connects everything vertically to God. Throughout history, the deep central root was claimed by Satan. Now the Unification Church has a real root, penetrating to the depths and reaching the heights. The tribal messiahs are the branches. Without tribal messiahs, Father and Mother and True Family remain a very slender tree. However, with tribal messiahs sent out all over the world, the tree becomes round and prosperous, covering the entire world. The root has been growing for many thousands of years. By participating in True Parents’ dispensation, becoming one of the branches of the tree, you become part of the universal history and victorious dispensation of our True Parents, part of True Parents’ tree of life.

There is only one set of True Parents forever. There is only one time in history when the True Parents are here to bring all these goodies to you. Everybody needs True Parents. Your name is listed in the book of wanting to be a member of the True Parents’ family. Would that make you miserable or happy? (Happy.)
Now it is almost noon. Shall we continue or shall we stop? (Continue.) What rascals you are. This is
my birthday and you are trying to work me to death. Let us draw the conclusion. Before True Parents come into being, a true couple must exist. Before there can be a true couple, there should be true brotherhood and sisterhood. Before true brotherhood, there should be true childhood. The purpose of human relationships is to be a child of good parents, attain good brotherhood, then good “coupledom,” and then go on up to good parenthood.
All these things can be accomplished between men and women. That was the whole purpose of Adam and Eve, the first ancestors. Where did all these relationships come from? They came from our ancestors and, ultimately, God. God longs for the establishment of all these relationships. Tragically, God did not have His own children. He has not seen the establishment of all these relationships because all was contaminated by the satanic element. God has not owned or experienced any of these relationships, but His heart has been longing for them and you and I have the same desire as God. God is our parent and we are His children. As our parent is, so are we.

Today is True Parents’ Birthday celebration. This is such a special birthday. If we expand the meaning or significance of the birthday of True Parents, this is the celebration day for the entire True Family. Father would like to call In Jin Nim’s couple to the stage and celebrate another special occasion with all of you.
Until this point in history, there have been and are millions of Christian ministers and pastors all over the world. Within our movement, we have many ministers who work in a capacity as pastors and reverends, but Father never officially ordained anyone. Because of the victorious foundation True Parents have won, now the True Family can
stand upon this victory. Since Father’s second daughter, In Jin Nim, recently graduated from Harvard Divinity School, Father would like to officially ordain In Jin Nim as the first official reverend of Unification Church. (Applause.)
(Father is writing on the chalkboard.) Let’s use this one (pointing to a Chinese character) as a pronoun because chuk stands for a celebration, and sajang is like a priest or judge in the old Judaism tradition who did all the worshipping and sacrifice and rituals. Chuksajang is also like a priest of the Catholic Church or a reverend or minister of a Protestant church, but Father added one more task to this minister and that is to celebrate blessings. There will be different levels of chuksajang in the future. The hierarchy will follow in such a way: family level, tribal level, national level and worldwide level. We should say “Chuksajang ” right now. (All respond, “Chuksajang! ”) Father will officially pray to ordain In Jin Nim as “Chuksajang.” (Father prays in Korean. Mother gives her own ring to In Jin Nim to commemorate this moment. (Applause.)

The principle which God applies is continuous giving and forgetting, to the absolute level. Based on absolute self-negation, God created absolute giving. Through absolute giving, the infinite world exists.
We all want to become the center of the group we belong to. To achieve that, we must offer ourselves, in a spirit of giving, not taking. On each level, whoever gives more will become the center of that level.
The Creator God is still giving and forgetting for the sake of His creation partner, man. Even the president of a university will achieve honor and fame by giving. But if he demands from other
universities, he will be forgotten. Again, if you give infinitely, then you will live in the infinite world. Doing that, all the levels will approve of you, and you will absorb their power and energy, by which you live eternally. That’s how I have lived my life.

The eternal spirit does not age. Even the things of creation have a type of spirit. If God had not established love He would not have been able to experience joy. God, who lost His love,
has been in such a position of suffering and sorrow. He absolutely wants to bring His children back to the point where True Love can be felt and where the whole universe can be in harmony.
True Love is the center of all things and the center of all ideal relationships. All philosophies can disappear but True Love will not disappear. As long as God remains, True Love will remain. What is True Love? We hope that our spouse and children will be better than us. God also wants His object of True Love to be better than Himself. Who would disagree?
Human beings are so special! That means we can be higher than God. Only love has that special power. God wants to give so completely to His sons and daughters that human beings can even be above God in value. If we had not fallen we could have been so great. These are precious words.
God lives eternally and through our relationship of True Love with God, we live eternally. The environment of eternal Love is that of eternal life. This is not something to dream of, but something to experience.

The sun and the stars are round. The speed of love goes through the universe. With True Love you can travel throughout the universe. Why am I teaching you these things? Why do I say these things? I refer to myself as 선생 seonsaeng (teacher) as a formality, not to glorify myself. I know the eternal Word of God. We cannot just live as we want to.
In the biblical age, we were preparing for True Love. Jesus said that those who seek to live will die, while those who seek to die will live. Reverend Moon knows these things. If we know God and eternal life, we cannot live randomly. We must give, we must invest our life one hundred percent. Then we can go beyond the fallen realm. If we do not
invest one hundred percent, we cannot have eternal life. If we don’t have eternal life, we cannot meet God.

A person who is intoxicated with God’s love can examine a single grain of sand for a thousand years without ever being bored. Such a person will see light radiating from his own hand. When lying alone at night, he feels that he is lying on a golden bed and radiating golden light. This may sound fantastic, but it is true. If you reach this state, you can stand on a hilltop and feel that all creation is cheering to welcome you. Have you ever experienced this? The thought that we are born into a universe of love not only gives us a feeling of infinite happiness, it also makes us want to boast to the world, “Hey, look at me!” God was working in His laboratory, and He made the most ideal, most sensational discovery. That discovery is each one of us.
Each person comes into the world through three sets of parents. The first parent is the material world. Elements from the world of matter combine to form each person as the center of the material world and as a complex material being. Thus, it can be said that these physical elements themselves are our ancestors that gave birth to us. On the other hand, the material world is an extension of us. The universe is created so that matter can settle only in the ideal of love. It is only in the ideal of love that all cells can live in tranquility. But this is all ruined whenever a person becomes angry.
The second set of parents are our own physical parents, By giving birth to us, our parents gave us a particular form, and to this extent they are the masters of our lives. However, no matter how hard they may try, these parents cannot be the masters of our love.
The master of love is God. In this context, God exists so that love can be expanded into the entire universe and be made eternal. Because God is the subject partner of
love, He becomes the parent centering on love. That is why God is our third parent, So we have three sets of parents.

Through the Coronation of God’s Kingship January 13, 2000, and True Mother’s 60th birthday this year, heaven and earth became one, opening the gates of Cheon Il Guk, as True Parents were in the position of king everybody was able to receive the blessing at the same time. For
the first time the path of heaven was created centering on unified hearts, and centering on internal and unchanging true love.

You should have the heart to travel throughout the world and embrace the world. Hyun Jin Nim, Kook Jin Nim and Hyung Jin Nim, you three must become one. Distinguished world leaders, ladies and gentlemen,
I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to you all again for taking part in yesterday’s Proclamation Rally for the Era of the Peace Kingdom in Heaven and on Earth and elevating this rally to an international level. Tonight’s banquet had been prepared, as refined as it could be, in hopes of meeting once again all those who have been with us throughout today in celebrating our birthday and to convey our appreciation to you all.
As it is with the principles through which God created, the family consists of three levels of upper, middle and lower, which pertain to the grandparents, parents and children. This means that three levels are necessary to create harmony in the family.
A home as desired by Heaven would be one where the entire household is beaming in harmony and filled with the merry laughter of the wrinkled but joyous grandfather and grandmother; it would be a place filled with the sound of the grandchildren s laughter that echoes the prayers of hope that express the promise of the future. The seemingly slow gestures of the grandfather reflect something broad, deep, high and vast. A home should be a place where one can hear God s joyfulness from the hearty laughter of the grandfather. A harmonious melody should flow out from the edges of the skirt of a thoughtful grandmother and the grandeur of the heavenly way should be breathing and alive in the gaze of the ever-busy father and mother.

God’s Ideal Family and the Responsibility the Citizens of Cheon Il Guk Are Called to Fulfill Peace Message 12
Ladies and gentlemen, my life for the past eighty-eight years has been one of sorrow, marked by inexpressible suffering and persecution. As the third Adam, the True Parents,
I need to indemnify and completely reverse all the failures of the first and second Adams. I am responsible to complete not only the mission of the Savior, the Messiah, and the Lord at his second coming, but also the missions of all those major figures from whom religions have sprung.
Bearing similarities to God’s creation of the universe, my life has constituted the great work of the re-creation of humanity, where not even the smallest error is permitted. It has been a lonely course that cannot be discussed with anyone, one that took me down thorny paths through the wilderness — paths that I had to follow while utterly alone. Not even God could acknowledge me. Frequently hovering in a state between life and death, even vomiting blood, I still had to rise again like a phoenix to remain true to my promise to God and establish the model of the ideal family and of absolute sexual purity.

Respected heads of states, ladies and gentlemen! On behalf of my family I would like to express my deep gratitude for your coming all this way in the cold weather to the Cheon Jeong Peace Palace to celebrate my birthday and that of my beloved wife.
Ladies and gentlemen, at the beginning of the year 2007 and also this year, 2008, I proclaimed a jubilee year in God’s providence. God has greatly blessed this holy year. It is a jubilee year the likes of which God and humankind have never experienced in thousands of years of history.
God’s heart has been in pain throughout history for thousands and tens of thousands of years because humanity has been confined under Satan’s dominion. Humanity had endured oppression under the sovereignty of evil throughout the “era before the coming of heaven.” That time has finally come to an end! From now on, with these two jubilee years as a turning point, the gates are opened wide to the revolutionary “era after the coming of heaven,” ushering in the time of a new sovereignty of goodness in which humanity can serve and attend God as the Central Being.

Ladies and gentlemen, God is and has always been the king of kings, even before He began the Creation. The heavenly way, however, dictates that after creating all things, God must manifest substantially as the king of kings who reigns over the world of physical phenomena, which is the sphere of the objects of God’s love. That is why, with true love, God sought and found the True Parent of this physical world, who was to become His representative and heir.
Although we are overwhelmed by the grace of having received Heaven’s seal, my wife and I are truly joyful to be able to stand here as God’s direct representatives and hold this coronation for the king of kings. At the same time I am deeply sorry before Heaven; I have reached my 90th year of life, yet I have been unable to fully restore the 6.5 billion people of this world to God.
