The Tibetan Book of the Dead is a religious text from Tibet, written as a guide for persons attending someone who is dying or recently dead, to bring comfort and “ spiritual liberation”. It includes prayers, instructions for both dying persons and their attendants, and descriptions of the afterlife. (Roman Catholicism has comparable rituals, called Anointing of the Sick or Last Rites.)

“Book of the Dead,” a manuscript that ancient Egyptians used to help guide the deceased through the afterlife.

The name of the papyrus’s owner, Pwkhaef, is written on it; that same name was also found on one of the wooden coffins and on four shabti figurines meant to serve the deceased in the afterlife.

The Book of the Dead (Ancient Egyptian: 𓂋𓏤𓈒𓈒𓈒𓏌𓏤𓉐𓂋𓏏𓂻𓅓𓉔𓂋𓅱𓇳𓏤, an ancient Egyptian funerary text generally written on papyrus and used from the beginning of the New Kingdom (around 1550 BC) to around 50 BC.

The Book of the Dead is made up of a number of individual texts and their accompanying illustrations.

Most sub-texts begin with the word ro, which can mean “mouth”, “speech”, “spell”, “utterance”, “incantation”, or “chapter of a book”. This ambiguity reflects the similarity in Egyptian thought between ritual speech and magical power.

In the context of the Book of the Dead, it is typically translated as either chapter or spell. In this article, the word spell is used.

The spells of the Book of the Dead made use of several magical techniques which can also be seen in other areas of Egyptian life. A number of spells are for magical amulets, which would protect the deceased from harm.

In addition to being represented on a Book of the Dead papyrus, these spells appeared on amulets wound into the wrappings of a mummy. Everyday magic made use of amulets in huge numbers. Other items in direct contact with the body in the tomb, such as headrests, were also considered to have amuletic value. A number of spells also refer to Egyptian beliefs about the magical healing power of saliva.

Chapters 1–16 The deceased enters the tomb and descends to the underworld, and the body regains its powers of movement and speech.

Chapters 17–63 Explanation of the mythic origin of the gods and places. The deceased is made to live again so that he/she may arise, reborn, with the morning sun.

Chapters 64–129 The deceased travels across the sky in the sun ark as one of the blessed dead. In the evening, the deceased travels to the underworld to appear before Osiris.

Chapters 130–189 Having been vindicated, the deceased assumes power in the universe as one of the gods. This section also includes assorted chapters on protective amulets, provision of food, and important places

Book Sinuhe The Egyptian The Egyptian (Sinuhe egyptiläinen, Sinuhe the Egyptian) is a historical novel by Mika Waltari. It was first published in Finnish in 1945, and in an abridged English translation by Naomi Walford in 1949. Regarded as “one of the greatest books in Finnish literary history”, it is, so far, the only Finnish novel to be adapted into a Hollywood film, which happened in 1954.

In Greece, Turkey and Ethiopia, the amulet is described as a pearl and has a blue color. The basic idea is that the amulet should function as a mirror as it reflects back the power and prevents the evil eye from reaching the recipient.

So who sends people to Heaven or Hell? Nobody but themselves. There is no inquiry as to their faith or former church affiliations, or whether they were baptized, or even what kind of life they lived on Earth.

They migrate toward a heavenly or hellish state because they are drawn to its way of life, and for no other reason.

Anyone can enter heaven. However, as soon as an evil person inhales the air there they have excruciating torment so they quickly shun it and escape to a state/place in keeping with their true state.

The basic spiritual orientation of a person toward good or evil cannot be changed after death. Thus, an evil spirit could leave hell, but never wants to.

The Book of the Dead focuses only on the afterlife…

Christianity and Unfication movement focuses on living correctly here on Earth = for others in the time on Earth before the afterlife.

“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Jesus - Mathew 16:19 …Love God and your neighbor as you love yourself There is no commandment greater than these Mark 12:30

Father told us that there were three questions God would ask each of us when we go to the spirit world. These questions are asked to everyone without exception. First, how much did you love God while you were in the physical world? Second, how much did you love people? Third, how much did you love creation?

If you are doing as your body wishes, it is connected to hell.

On the other hand, if you do as your mind wants, it is connected to the Kingdom of God.

In this sense; the boundary line between the Kingdom of God and hell is yourself.

Just as Korea is divided north and south by the 38th parallel, satan divides and occupies you. By dividing, satan occupies.

Thus, in order to separate from satan, the left foot should be moved to the south. It is simple. Because of satan’s tactic, every existing being is divided between good and evil.

If one were to die without separating good from evil, the 38th parallel of the individual could not be overcome. Then, one could not enter the (good) spiritual world.

The 38th parallel of the family and country could not be overcome. Then, how could we go over the 38th parallel of the world and universe? It would be impossible.

Suppose there is a dying person who says, “The Principle of the Unification Church is certainly good. I can go to the Kingdom of God. Although I did not fulfill True Father’s words completely, my mind was really trying to fulfill them.

So please regard me as having established the proper indemnity conditions!” Then God will try to put him into the Kingdom of God because God is fair. (laughter)

Where did God try to put him? Because the person tried to go to the Kingdom of God, God put him where he wanted to be. Do you understand? God rewarded him according to his actions.

God put him where he tried to go. However, one cannot go everywhere one wishes. Because one receives his reward according to his actions on earth, his destination can be beneath paradise or even in hell.

Even people in hell want to go to the Kingdom of God. Such horrible things are happening every second, minute, and hour, but you don’t feel it substantially. This is the human situation.

The Kingdom Of God On Earth And In Heaven

In order for the individual to rest, the resting realm of the family has to be established. That is, the fence on the family level has to be made. Isn’t that so? In order for the family to rest, the fence on the tribal level has to be made. If there is no fence, the family or tribe will always be invaded.

Then, in order for the people (tribe) to rest, the fence on the national level has to be made.

In order for the nation to rest, the fence on the world level has to be established. In this sense, only after establishing the worldwide fence, can the nation rest. In order for the world to rest, the fence of unification between the spiritual world and physical world has to be established.

After that, the Kingdom of God on earth can be realized, which God’s love can spread all over the world.

Through that process, the Kingdom of God on earth is established automatically. Do you follow? [Yes]

Three elements are needed to establish a country: first is sovereignty, second is people, and third is land. Did this world become the place that God rules over? [No!] Did all the earth become God’s country? Did the world become God’s nation of people? Though you talk about the Kingdom of God, God’s nation cannot be established until the world is united into one.

Because world unity is not yet established, and Cain and Abel still remain, the history of struggle continues.

Therefore, we cannot rest in this situation. We don’t want to live in the process of restoration, but in the Kingdom of God.

The Lord of the Second Advent will not establish the new ideal realm within the Kingdom of God, but at the bottom of paradise and hell. At the place connected to the bottom of hell, he will find Cain and Abel, and create the realm of God’s new family.

This will be expanded to the realm of a new tribe, new people, new country, and new world of God.

Through the establishment of this ideal worldwide realm, all people of the world will be restored. That world will unify all people through restoration by indemnity centered on Cain and Abel. God’s hope and Will can be realized by replacing the empty spiritual world with the new organized world of unification on earth.

Thus Jesus said that “Whatever you tie on earth, shall be tied in heaven, and whatever you solve on earth, shall be solved in heaven.” Is it possible to establish the Kingdom of God in heaven without establishing the Kingdom of God on earth? [No!]

The Kingdom of God in heaven can never be realized without establishing the Kingdom of God on earth.

Whether human beings like it or not, as fallen descendants of Adam and Eve we each have to surmount the steep pass of indemnity even at the risk of death. No one can avoid this. You must traverse this path. If you go to the spirit world without going through this in your lifetime, there is no way to know how many millions of years it will take you in the spirit world. There is no indemnity in the spirit world. Since it is a liberated realm of perfection, it is filled with the waves of love. There is no indemnity or recreation.

There is no reproduction either. Since there are no such opportunities, once you are fixed in a position, that is the end of it. Knowing these things, God sent the Messiah to the earth. There still remains the path of indemnity through the eight stages of the individual, family, tribe, people, nation, World, cosmos and God. You cannot, however, go through that path all at once. That is why God has led history through the era of indemnity on the individual level, the family level, and then, passing through the four-thousand-year history of Israel, all the way to the era of indemnity on the world level of the Christian cultural realm. The Right Viewpoint For The Kingdom Of God

How much are you united with God at the most serious position in front of God’s enormous Will and historical hope? Do you have absolute faith centering on God’s Will?

No matter how strong a storm and wind may come, even if you are destroyed and dying, you should have absolute faith, saying, “This faith is absolute. Even though I was wrong, only this Will is absolutely right.” If your faith is different from morning to evening, and if you lose the Kingdom of God, how foolish you are!

The way to the Kingdom of God does not appear at the self-centered place. If you feel that you are far away from that nation, you have to deny yourself completely. Only when you deny yourself can the desire to enter the Kingdom of God remain.

It is obvious that the Kingdom of God starts from yourself. Even if the physical Kingdom of God is established, if you don’t become a person who fits into that nation, you will have nothing to do with it.

One may be able to feel, in one’s mind, the Kingdom of God at the place where one is ready for death, but that is not the actual, substantial Kingdom of God.

Although a great amount of martyrdom and suffering has taken place throughout the past 2000 years, the Kingdom of God is not yet realized on earth. In this sense, the Kingdom of God is not to be established in such an easy way.

Unification movement and cremation

Tradition book I v.1980 We can say that the physical body returns to the material world through its eventual decomposition. The practice of cremation is not in accordance with the Unification view, as it does not allow the physical body a natural return to the physical (material) world.

TM did said 2015; True Mother told Dr. Yang, “Cremation is very common in Korea nowadays. With a prayerful attitude, place the ashes in an urn or in the ground or spread them at the base of a tree so they can nourish the earth.”

Whether to choose a traditional burial or cremation is the family’s choice. Cremation is popular in Korea and Japan.

What’s important at the farewell/returning home ceremony — whether it is done with cremated remains or with an intact body — is the heart and motivation.
